i tripped weekly for 4 months straight, every shabbas (excluding special occasions where i tripped thursday or saturday) and when the 4 month period ended, it was like everything that i tripped appeared in reality. most fantastic spiritual journey i ever took! i recommend this highly.

Please- Fresh is more potent than dried. Took 25 grams fresh the first time. Oops. When I woke up the next day, I felt fine. But I wouldn't recommend, it for a first time

this poll was gret for me i tried mushie for the first time but did not take enough so all i got was a quick body buzz.i had alot of ???s about how much to take and when and where and what not.now i feel better about my next try.thank you for posting this it helped me out.

Triped third time this wk. 'don kno how much, digis broke due to excessive shaking....aahahahahahhhaa. neways, days better then night (although night rules an inpressive extent). I'm sure I touched every tree on my property. You guys are freakin crazy. Have been readin the shroomery for 'bout 3 yrs.... This would b my 1st post... Keep it up, peoples.

I love this poll! It is great to see where I fall in amongst other psychonauts and mycophiles. I just wish the question about favorite species was a little more specific, yes cubies are the overwhelming favorites, but there are so many different subspecies, which all have different potency and effect. I personally prefer P.Mexicana, which I think has the best visual qualities of all the species I have tried, but that is just my opinion.

Here is my experience with the wise shroomies. MY first 2 trips were great and thought I wasn't able to bad trip. Then I had a trip where I fainted, I rmember flying through hallways then waking up to my friend slapping me in the face with the phone in his hand with 911 dialed ready to press talk... I isntantly bad tripped..... I just felt completely fucked with lack of a better word, I felt poisoned. I managed to get through it okay. Then I tripped a week later, nothing much happend because of tolerance, jsut a good deal of nausea. Then on canada day, yes canada day.... I drank some tea and then as i was waiting for the come up, I realized I had nothing to do, i had no friends over. Then I figured maybe i could throw it up and avoid the trip, I tried and as soon as I tried, I got really sweaty and scared. I layed on hte couch, I could feel reality unlaching itself. I then started feeling not soo bad, still anxious and nauseated.. I went into the computer room and played some counterstrike and managed to get through the trip once again and I actually got called into work as I was coming down. That night I was kinda anxious about smoking weed because I didnt want to got hrough the same. then about two weeks later, at night, I was on the computer when all of a sudden I felt super anxious and nauseas, went to bed and had the most fucked up dream.. like blood was coming out of my mouth and when i moved my arms i felt like I was underwater, I felt trapped in this dream and ever since that I have had GAD (Genralized Anxiety disorder). I tried shrooms a couple of times after and have failed to have a pleasent trip, the anxiety build up in the beginning plus the nausea plus a low dose seemed to make me feel like I was in hell. I tripped at christmas time and it was for the msot aprt a good trip but for some reason the day after I was back at square one with the whole anxiety thing. I really want to trip again because of allt he insight and understanding I have gained from tripping, but i get anxious jsut thinking about it. Example, I have medicinal marijuana prescribed but dr. Hornby wanted me to try these things called Cannacaps and they are pot in a gel cap, 2 is the recommended dose. I took 1 the other day and with 5 seconds of taking it, I felt really anxious and remmeber that canada day experience.....I smoked some hash and it calmed me down and yeah the pill works great, but I think you get my point. I duno if anyone has any feedback or suggestions they wanna give me.
dosages....
first time = 2.5g cubes
Fainting experience = 4g cubes
Canada day = 3.5g
the two times after that = 1g
christmas = 2.5g

I know but I cant help it, ive let my mind manifest that wayw ithout the udnersanding I needed back then.... I dunno how to get rid of this block. Its hard for me to eat any kinda pill even a vitamen somewhat gives me second thoughts after I take it..... Anyone know a way to diminish this mental block?

quik...out of all the people i know personally, im the most experienced with psychedelics...that doesnt mean i know, or understand anymore than the rest of shroomery.org, but IMHO, i think you should start from the beginners end of dosing...start with a low dose...0.5g of known potency mushrooms, and be sure to dose with some friends who not only understand your plight, but will also be able to help guide you through any rough times. it helps to know yourself well enough to be able to recognize negative thought processes, and head them off before they begin to take hold.
i would start with a spiritual centering...meditate for a good 15-30 mins in a place that fills you with happiness and/or peace, preferably a natural setting where you can freely relax. make sure you have NOTHING important to do the next day<no impending event that will weigh on your psyche>. your dosage method should be something that doesnt make you feel sick<i prefer crushing the dried mushies in a baggy, and washing them down pinch by pinch with a yummy beverage, no chewing involved.> and after dosing...treat the experience like a trip, go explore somewhere that will help maintain that 'awed' sensation.
but from the way you describe things....its your past experiences that you need to forget about<easier said than done>, as well as linking your new experiences to your memory in a way that provides you with a long lasting positive impression.
blah......wall of text...awesome. basically..its all up to you, each of us has a different way of dealing with life, sometimes psychedelics do more damage than good. from my experience, a bad trip is often due to overwhelming psychological disorder and an inner need to come to terms with whats in your head, as much as it is about your environment.
