so you use 2 humidifiers? what about an air purifier? do you use it in your fruiting chamber?
Also, can this tek be followed with WBS instead of Rye?

with rye, does it sometimes take a while to notice the first mycelial colonization? when should i start to worry?

From what I've noticed myc seems to start pretty fast from spore on rye.

i didn't do the alcohol wipe/cool down of the needle, i probably killed all of my spores that i injected... i just re-inoculated 4/7 to see what happens...

Okay, 2 questions?!?! Where can one purchase a water heater like magash. AFOAF would like one just like his with a temp control for the inside of the chamber and a temp control for the water. Also, how big is that martha stewart closet thing. I need measurments. Is there a sealed bottom to it so no mist soaks up on the carpet or contams get in? How much do each of these products go for? Heater is from e-bay.
Martha is about 5 feet tall, 3 wide, 20 inches deep or so.
Bottom is sealed
prices very on what brands you buy. Easy enough to look up.

just out of curiosity, about the six gallons of water you use to rinse the rye with after simmering. do you use plain ol' tap water or filtered or what?

Thanks for the reply magash. As for the last question, I would assume plain tap water since your going to pressure cook it anyhow. If you have access to free filtered water though, use it. Rudiger420

is there anything bad about hardcore boiling the rye? i accidently let it boil hardcore, but then i turned the heat down.
also, does it matter if you don't see a clump of myc leave your karo syringe during inoculation? (did myc still get injected?)
