I've finally decieded to switch over to this method for my chamber. Running many test runs with my humidfier and soda bottles...it just wasn't making any humidity in the styrofoam cooler. Lines where getting clogged, even when there were no low points. The soad bottle thing sucks..too much work if you ask me.
I'm using lava rock. Any success with the lava. I crushed some up last night. Not crushed...but broken up. Would it be ok to have a layer of broken and then a layer of the bigger ones or just all broken?
Also, if I have the two holes at the top, would that take away from having to fan every 1-3 hours?
Thanks Magash for the post.

Patent for the Hydra-Pod
The patent seems pretty broad, keep in mind the patent office allows this and it is legally standing, the patents it references do not disqulify his patent at all, he just combined several other ideas into a new idea, which is just fine as long as credit is given. But you can also see at the site above all the drawings submitted with the patent application, so you can see if truly you have all the components covered by the patent.
Just since it didn't seem anyone pointed out exactly where to get the public documentation from.

I found some at home depot in the gardening section with specialty bags where they have the spagnum moss and the perilite then at a pet store later when I needed some more in the aquarium section.
