Talking to yourself is how your inner man gains wisdom.

It also is a sign of things to come I.E. Padded walls

I talk to myself daily. Read my posts and you will see why the nut farm is in your future.

Maybe the three 'personalities' are respectively; your conscious mind, your subconscious, and your unconscious, and you just happen to be receptive of them..

It is a natural human tendency to fragment the consciousness into different categories, the conscious being where the ego resides.. our dominant waking consciousness.. the subconscious being the archives for memories and the channel between the conscious mind and unconscious.. the unconscious being the 'soul' level where life lessons and such reside.

The whole idea is to dissolve the layers between the fragmented states of mind, and have a unified system without barriers. If you are consciously hearing your own inner 'voices', then perhaps you are coming closer to the next step. Or going crazy, you tell me  :crazy2:

I'm always talking to myself when I'm alone. Not constantly, but every so often. It feels like it's therapeutic. If I'm trying to figure a tough situation out, it feels better that way (a little wild maybe, but what isn't?)

Holy shit. Just realized I bumped a near-8 year old thread. Wow. My bad.......
