I have a friend who is living with a guy that drinks 3-4 6 packs a day of ths cheapest beer he can get his hands on. He chews tobacco and spits it on the walls. Takes freshly opened beers and throws them at the windows. Has pictures of underage kids in the nude hanging on his bathroom mirrors. As of last week the guy just disappeared and my friend got a letter from FPL that the electric is gonna be shut off any day now. This guy is just an all around psychopath. So concider yourself fairly lucky.

you guys all seruously need to consider finding a good group of friends that dont slack, are chill ass hell and number oe RESPECT you as a friend.
Posts like this make me feel so lucky I wuld take a bullet for my friends, without hesistation.

Ah, the joys of housemates... now I remember why don't have any... 
We used to set aside one evening every week for household chores. Each person in the house was assigned (randomly) a section of the house to clean. We originally used a rotation, but found that some people were extra messy if they knew they weren't going to have to clean that section of the house... random worked better. Being there for chore night was required... skipping out on it was considered skipping out on rent and would result in somebody finding a new place to live.
We had a few other rules that helped... if you cook, you have to clean immediately after eating... if you don't, you will likely find your dirty dishes and trash under your pillow that evening. Little things like that....

One place I lived in was so full of roaches I put the legs of the bed in bowls of water to keep the raoches from climbing over me at night. Since then I've learned to squirt Borax (roach-pruf)in all the cracks around the baseboard and behind the fridge and dishwasher etc.
Diatom, sometimes available reasonably at walmart as a swimmingpool filterant, is effective against fleas in the carpet I've heard, but don't breath the dust.
(Takes freshly opened beers and throws them at the windows???

Del, you've been having some bad roomate luck lately... I remember this post from just one month ago...
Del's former roomate situation.
So here's the problem - I LOVE my job (that's not the problem) but I fucking hate living here. It's a beautiful place but my roommate is a fuckin creepy mid-life crisis loser and I haven't met anyone here that I could see myself really being friends with yet.
I have been crying just about every night since I've moved here.
My roommate calls me a hermit b/c I just lock myself in my room after work and go to sleep.
I get woken in the middle of the night b/c he throws parties with people pluging in eletric guitars and not knowing how to play them, people slamming doors, yelling, etc...
mind you - this guy is in his early to mid thirties and is divorced - has 3 kids - used to run an escort website service - works at a fuckin video game shop - is an alcoholic (he actually kinda brags about how he gets drunk, goes climbing w/o any tools and then falls while reaching for a flask and breaks his fingers and foot... wtf).
So ya - having to deal with him really sucks. He's so "me me me" - you can't get a word in when talking to him. It's all a fucking monologue.
Okay so I'm depressed. I am bored here and lonely - very lonely. It's not even like I can't meet new people - it's more like - I want my boyfriend and my old friends - not someone new. Ya know?
This sucks... anyone else have this kind of problem? Am I weird for not wanted to interact with my wacko roommate? He creeps me out and is so fucking rude about these parties - he fucking has them on weekday nights when I have to get up at 7:30am.
