Holy shit! What sort of cauliflower is that?? Cauliflower usually looks alot like brocolli but with a more intact surface. Is that what immature brocolli looks like? Frickin' awesome man!

I'd be willing to bet that spiral follows the Fibonacci Sequence...as so much else in nature does.

That's amazing, probably something which few other than cauliflower farmers and gardeners have seen before. I never would have guessed that something as chaotic looking as what's in the produce aisle comes from something so perfectly ordered. Another microcosm of the universe.

The plant is called "Broccoli Romanesco". We see that it is a clear manifistation of a fractal pattern. Think of the Mandelbrot figures; the pattern keeps repeating itself at lower and lower scales.
