I don't think atleast too many people are lying based on the poll results because it follows a pretty well formed bell curve, though slightly skewed but not too much.

i don't think that bell curve is slightly scewed...it's seems pretty accurate to me...if you want me to break out my stats book i'd gladdly find the average and the standard deviation for ya....seems that the shroomerites have about a 6 inch penis though. that's not that far off of the 5 inch...
of course, i always thought that five standard was to make most people feel better about themselves...but you do have to realize that those 3in penises really throw off a curve.

Remember, to correctly measure your cock take a ruler and measure from the top of the penis. If you have a foreskin, pull it back to get an accurate measurement. Then, take your ruler and press inwards until you touch your pelvic bone (to get past the fat).

i think measurement would be more accurate if ppl were to use a carpenters square, part their legs at 90 deg.
line up the square down one leg, pitting the corner into the bag-leg (remember that term) and use the other legnth of the square to measure. i tried it that way and got like 11.5 inches

I'll work on getting a girth poll up, unless one of you wants to do it. I'd say structure it the same way we did this one... Might want to explain what girth is and how to measure it. I have some strange feeling a lot of people don't know wtf it is, or if they do, they don't know how to measure it.
I'd also be interested in a curvature poll. I'm aware that a good majority of people have some kind of curve, I'd be anxious to see what's the most common.

7.5' long 2 1/2 fingers thick slightly curved toward my upper body. gets thicker near the center.
I believe size does matter to a point. I mean 3 or 4 inches isn't much to work with. I've never met a girl who would've felt tight around my limp penis (roughly 4'). I think there has to be some kind of contact inside there to make the magic work!
Fore play and cunnilingus are oh so important though. Wether your hung like a bull or packing a mini-pistol. IME not giving proper fore play = no orgasm for the female involved most of the time...

Average size was 5-6 last time they did a scientific survey on it.
And why would someone bother lying about penis size in an anonymous poll? That's just stupid.
And of course some people are going to be above average. I'm 6'5" and wear size 15 shoe, I don't see how it could be possible to have a 5 inch wang, ya know? It'd just be incredibly ill proportioned to the rest of my body if it were that small.

This is kind of odd for this poll to be here on this site. However, I feel a bit "short" changed by the poll. I'm not overly large at 6.5" and my girth is near 7". My penis varies in size, from 5.5 to 8 inches the average is 6.One time i was in the hospital for alcohol toxicity and was on an IV and two nurses had me up to 14 inches they measured it,because the size of it blew me away.
Do to the IV, (extra fluid) in the Blood stream,and an increase in blood pressure, and the nurses did a good job as well.

I would like to officially change my vote, my original response was an estimate... I actually measured recently and it came in at just over 7" 
BTW - I wear size 9 shoes

haha, yeah shoe size is definitely irrelevant. although mine is around 7 inches also and my shoe size is 12. im not even tall either. just shows you more of how much it varies though and has no significance. i wonder where that whole thing started anyway.

If shoe size was relevant I'd probably have a few inches on some horses. I wear size 15 shoes. I think length from tip of middle finger to wrist tends to work well for most people.

If I were male, then based on the wrist/middle finger equation, my dick would be just two knicks over 6.5 inches (not measuring the finger nails of course, haha)....
Interestingly, I voted 6-6.5 inches to see the results before i measured my hand!
I'd be pretty well hung if I were a guy, since I'm only 5'1. I have long fingers though.

I let my fiance vote. I swear, I think it's in the water or something, but the average size penis out here in my area is like 7 inches. I didn't think God would bless us women in such a manner. I've had a few boyfriends in my town in the last four years and they've all been pretty well-endowed. My husband to be when erect is a good 8.5 inches, sometimes I swear it's bigger.
Do you think it's possible that location has anything to do with penis size? Here's a couple of examples, Asian men are quite known for having a less than average penis size. American Indians have a pretty decent size as well as Italians(I've been engaged to 2).
I don't sleep around, but I have had my share of men in the last 10 years of my life, so I think I can somewhat classify a few according to experience.

Considering that only 5% of men are longer than 7 inches, it's quite rare indeed. More likely however, is that you're just measuring wrong.

It makes a large difference depending if you press completely against the bone or not depending on the amount of fat you have in your pubic region. I'm 6 inches erect not pressed against bone and about 7 pressed against bone.

I heard a friend describe his erect penis to a girl like this "It's not that it's short, it's actually really thin too!" While she laughed, I am fairly certain he got laid that night. I couldn't tell you if it was true, but it is one of my favorite sayings now. Possibly working the "going into it with negative expectations, in order to gain a favorable response to what you get" angle. Personally I am about as average as they get 6.5" long, average width(haven't measured), and almost perfectly straight. I am glad I could share that with all of you. One of the most appalling things I have ever seen was around fifteen years ago in a Melbourne University toilet where people were listing the size of their penises (using of course a rude word which I will not name). The whole toilet door contained a list of people with their penis sizes, both limp and erect, which had most probably been gathered by the student who was writing the poll from his friends.
Penis sizes, as I was recently reading in an anthropological textbook, do differ between human populations, but it is very tough to discuss this issue with ordinary people who would envy those with bog penises - and often do so simply because they think big penises are a symbol of power, power, power to get exactly what they want.
