There is no new edition coming out.
There will be a separate Psilocybine Mushrooms of the World part 2 book describing several new species found since 1996 when Paul first published the first book in 1996.

Sorry to correct you there John, but i know for a fact that Stamets is re-writting his original field guide - these were the words he used in an email recently. He is co-ordinating with Pluteus in the study of a number of Psilocybes at the moment - so that RNA/DNA/compatibility tests can be done on as many as possible to try and correctly classify them as best as possible.
Pluteus should be posting some results shortly.
