The holes are 5-6 mm i made them with soldering machine or whatever you call it. didnt have drill....and didnt want to buy one just for one shfc. But mine SGFC theoretically will work right? Just be honest dont want to mess up this. And i like honest people and love when people say whats on their mind. Criticism is welcomed on this thread!

I'd say you'll be okay, larger holes might mean that your cakes dry out a touch faster, so make sure you put in 4-5" perlite, and keep an eye on moisture levels

You'll definitely be misting a lot more often. Like Shroomspective said, keep an eye on them!

I can maybe put some tape on some of the holes to keep humidity right?

You could, but there wouldn't be consistent air exchange throughout the entire tub. Some cakes might get more than others. You'll need to keep a close eye on it tho.
Either way, you'll need to keep up with the misting schedule to support the growth of pins.
Or you could save yourself the stress of having to babysit your cakes, and build a new SGFC to specifics. It's up to you.

I kinda did the same thing but with a SAB. I didn't use a hot knife or something and I cracked it trying to cut arm holes. So I use it to put my jars in and put a tiny space heater under it while I keep it elivated. So the tub constantly stays 70-77. My house gets very cold this time of year.

I'd still give that sgfc a go...if the holes are 5-6mm diameter that's .196 - .23". So they are only a little on the small side. I think you're going to be fine. A properly constructed sgfc shouldn't need that much babysitting and yours is very close to spec.

I'll bet ya that SGFC works excellent...the holes are a touch big...but the wider spacing between them counterbalances that...

Colonizing is going pretty fast and there is no contamination....can it show up later? Ok i will go with this sgfc and if it will get dry a lot i will make new one or ask my GF to mist while i work.

Do you plan to soak your perlite or just wash it off, then throw it in your SGFC.
I haven't used perlite in awhile, I'm wondering how people prep theirs nowadays.

Actually i have no idea, because this is my first grow. I was thinking to just run water trough it in washer...i didnt know that you can soak it. Are there even right way on doing that. As far as i understand its impossible to use too much water....that is unless you just float your brf cakes in plain water.
And also i wanted to know would it be possible to spawn the biggest jar that i have in some kinda foil tray because it will most likely be imposible to get cake out of that jar....???

Now that I think about it, it wasn't the perlite that was the problem, it was the hole spacing on my SGFG that caused it to dry out soo quickly.
A quick rinse should be sufficient at hydrating it fully, as demonstrated in one of RR's videos on the pf tek.

How big is the jar? Just whack it against a bike tire until it comes loose. Be careful not to crack the jar.
You can spawn it to a foil tray with some coir/verm, if that's what you want to do after it's birthed. Or just fruit it as a large cake. It's up to you.
Lots of people go from brf cakes>bulk substrate and have great results. Make sure to use a cheese grater to shred your cakes. This will increase inoculation points in the substrate and result in much faster colonization.

Big jar is 500ml and its colonizing even faster that 2 of smaller jars. And the other 2 small jars goes even faster....Can i just spawn big jar in some kind of garden mix soil that is available to buy at home depo?
