I ask because most of the advice you are giving is wrong.

Ok man, Your just looking to argue I think. The only advise I put out their was that it colonized faster at the 82 temp vs the 74.Not something I read that was from my grow. The vermiculite at the top and the foil should be common knowledge around here. Like the man asked. Lets not trash his thread. Just pm If you really feel you have something more to say. please.

Lol no man I'm not trying to argue, just trying to correct misinformation. Take the foil off OP you don't want foil on if you have the dry verm layer trust me.
1. Condensation will form under the foil and drop down the holes into your jars making your dry verm layer useless.
2. The foil will hinder good GE.
Seriously I'm not making shit up

What I did was put tape over the holes. then the foil over the tape. PC'd. then removed the tape after the pc was done. put foil back over the top after the pc was finished.

You can search the thread about the foil.. for cakes the dry vermaculite is fine like stated. I'm new but already know this from reading. Holes with micros pore tape is fine but I used polyfill because we'll it's fluffy and wife wanted to make a pillow.
82 degrees means it'll be what like 86 or something inside which means higher contam rate. Might colonize faster not sure but the risk vs reward isn't worth so people strongly suggest the 70s range. Or people often say if it's comfortable for you it's comfortable for it.

You have it backwards. If you have tape you can just inoculate right through it and leave the foil off. The dry verm is your main barrier.

Looks like you're setup for success. SGFC looks right.

Those are gonna be some large cakes! Might take a little while longer to fully colonize plus the consolidation period. That's why most people like using the half pint wide mouth jars.

After i already made FC i discovered that there are other options like monotub which would be much better...but still i will go with SGFC for my first grow

Yeah i figured that! Big jar is 500ml and 4 smaller ones are 310ml. How long it takes for half pint (without consolidation period) ?

For me, I had a half pint wide mouth jar fully colonized in about 16 days from an MS inoculation.
Of course, it'll depend mostly on genetics and how well you prepped your substrate( it has to be light and airy for mycelium to easily colonize it). Never pack down the mix.
Those big jars you're using tend to make the brf mix very compacted as the weight of the mix on top pushes down on the mix at the bottom of the jar, increasing the colonization times by a good amount.

I will try to get some new jars for second grow then if these will take long

Not too many holes but those holes are larger than 1/4".
