Definitly Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the moon (whole album) is unmistakably the best trip music, greatful dead are up there though.

Check out the compilation CD "Floatation" - there's a Shpongle track on there very similar to Flute Fruit, but its like 8 or 9 minutes long
My favorite tripping song?
Mushrooms: Shpongle - ...and Day turned to Night
DMT: Hallucinogen - The Herb Garden (Basically the first Shpongle track ever.. Simon Posford and Raja Ram.. They just hadn't come up with "Shpongle" yet)
I'd say though that my ultimate tripping noise would be the environment... go outside and LISTEN - no matter where you live.. in a city or near a swamp or in the mountains or on the plains it sounds amazing - seems like one can "hear/feel the air."

I know what you mean. I love that song, so calming. It makes me think of the calm before a big thunderstorm. Watching huge dark clouds coming in on the horizon and you're just standing there with a cool breeze blowing. Great song

Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine are great to listen to if you are having a bonfire with some friends...
A fair warning though, if you mix the shrooms with a little alcohol and weed, then you may think that you need to set yourself on fire too.

For me, I like to trip to Tool alot. For Acid I like Reflection/Triad followed closely by Third Eye. I generally like to be outside on shrooms, but if i'm inside its still Tool.

any hendrix really. I dont know what happens when jimi is playing, but the whole trip changes. Try it, play a lot of different music all night, and while still loaded play that song. its insane, but the best part is jimi puts you in the best mood, the best state of mind, you feel like youre trippin with him....

Faded - Ben Harper. Preferably as it appears in the soundtrack to the "Laird" DVD. If your not familiar, a documentary about this guy, Laird Hamilton, amazing surfer. It shows him surfing these otherwordly looking waves. Definitely a great thing to watch while trippin. sorry to stray off topic.

Dark Star, but not just any recording... I'm talking about the one that's on the album "Live/Dead". This version could quite possibly be the best I've ever heard...
In fact, It was the first song I listened to on my first batch of home-grown shrooms.

I'm really rather shocked that no one mentioned Jimi Hendrix - 1983
That is by far the greatest song I have ever heard and the cool thing is I found it from a recommendation on this site.
13 minute long song about leaving the troubles and the wars of the world behind to live under the sea. Fucking wonderful song man, so good on shrooms, so good sober

Pali Gap by the Jimi Hendrix Experience on the Rainbow Bridge album sounds like the LSD feeling. I once hallucinated music like it after peaking on blue blotter back in 1974. Just listen to it after a couple beers.
