Is on sale for 2.50 on steam
It's a really great game from like 94' with updated backgrounds and sprites
It was made with vector art so it was playable back in the day
which basically means the character is held together by points and stuff
but this was my first entry into survival horror back in the day
and it's not like one of those dumb point and click games
Give it a go if you've never played it!

I remember that game. it was amazing back then.
they made a sequel called flashback that was also pretty good

Holy shit thanks, I loved the fuck out of this game. It had such a great atmosphere and hard as fuck playstyle.

Whoa! I had forgotten all about that game its been so long! I used to play the shit out of it way back when. I remember being blown away with how they used vectors in its graphical design.
I made it pretty far but never did beat it. I did however sort of cheat. I had to ask for help on newsgroups quite a bit in spots I got stuck, and had a few technical issues with the game crashing as well when I first got it. I used to get so frustrated when I'd die due to how the controls for the game felt sort of..laggy? They were not as responsive as I would have liked, not sure how else to put it. I dont think it was a performance/coding problem, but more so how they designed the guy to run and jump. You had to take into account the animations being longer so your jump didnt happen RIGHT when you pressed the button, but a tiny bit after as it went through the animations.
Now I'm watching some longplay videos of it since I'm at work and its slow. hah.

I actually didn't even know it was a survival horror until I saw a compilation vid on youtube
I just thought it was a sci fi side scrolling game that was trippy
Prince of persia SNES is kind of similar, super hard because the last boss is insane and you have like 5 minutes at that point to beat the game

I'm not sure I'd really call it a survival horror game since it doesnt really have the elements of one. It is a lot more of a sidescroller/platformer action puzzle game if anything.
