hey, not sure if this is right forum…cause its a question. move it if u need to
wanted to start putting some weed butter/oil in coffee in the morning.
not sure on amount of grams to use, only have nugs, NOT shake/trim etc.
what do u guys reckon is a good amount to use for a decent high. for some reason, i seem pretty resistant to edibles, they never really do much to me, even when friends have made them strong. i've only cooked with weed oil a few times a while back, and used trim for it. ill be at work after drinking it, but i don't mind being loopy if that happens.
i dont wanna over do it though, or waste bud.
any thoughts?

What you could do is extract into some cream. Then figure out how much you need to add to your coffee. I'd make it semi-weak so you have to drink more coffee to counteract any sluggishness at work.
But yeah, a half gram per dose sounds about right.

ok sweet 
got some in oil now, but ill try cream tomorrow. got a gas stove, never cooked with cream, i guess go real low so no burning? same time, half hour-ish?

VERY low. I'd try it with just some cream first to make sure you're not gonna scorch it.

so, this was actually an awesome day. gonna try with a little less tomorrow and see how i feel. wish i had trim, cause i still smoke when i get home, a lot of bud to use per day combined.
ill try the cream on low. i use water in my butter, so when the water starts to lightly simmer, i cut the heat, so the butter/oil never simmers/burns, then wait till the water boils off.
not sure how to pull that off with cream though, any ideas?

u think a coffee maker base (where the carafe sits) would be hot enough to extract?
i could just warm up some milk, put it in that while coffee maker is on, and let it sit?
i just moved into a new place…barely have kitchen stuff for double boiler. maybe i could put my dogs metal water bowl on top of a larger pot, but not sure if it would sit correctly

As far as double boilers go, make anything work, even if it sits there all sucked up, so long as the goodies stay in.
I'd try to figure that out BC I'm really not sure bout the coffee maker.

Just use your stove and a pot. You can heat cream without scorching, you just have to do it very low. Like I said, try it with no pot first to get the hang of it.

dude also had mushroom chocolates and sclerotia. who woulda thought random white homie from the hood could hook it up like that??

Cream higher in fat, therefore more potential to absorb weed, yup, you are correct, milk will work tho.

Does your cream ever come out tasting a lot like the bud/trim? I only use good tasting buds because the flavor pops more in creamer compared to baked goods where the spices overrun everything. Trim into creamer is a no go for me and my wifey but no complaints yet on the nugs.

I feel like that's gone be a unchangeable issue. And you solved it by only using nugs\flavorful goodies.
See with cannabutter, you can just add water and then fridge it and it pulls impurities (bad taste, bigger particulates, some chlorophyll) into water.
With cream, ya dead, can't separate liquids that have closer to the same aolidifying\freezing point.
Very true, good to being that up, sometimes the not so goodies taste blechh!
