Curious to see the extent of users here with eye issues.
being a proficient drug user at the ripe age of 28, there are times i am frustrated with my eye's efficiency, usually while walking in the night resulting in hard to see details, and exacerbated by drinking alcohol or use of cannabis. the last time i was tripping at night out in the wild my friend nearly ridiculed me due to having to wait before we hiked back due to rocks and me being unable to see.
who has eye issues? if so can you pinpoint a time when they evolved or deteriorated?

Change the time for when you're allowed to vote, doesn't let you pick.

Yeah, can't vote in the poll for another 49 minutes.

I'd say that my vision has generally just improved over time. I don't know if it's the result of drugs or eating superfoods but everything definitely gets sharper on psychedelics and low doses of dissociatives. At the same time, those drugs make it take longer for your eyes to adjust to light so seeing is more difficult at night.
Your eyes will naturally deteriorate with age if you aren't eating foods with the nutrients to preserve them, as it is with the rest of your body. If you think that your eyesight is deteriorating, it wouldn't be a terrible idea to see an optometrist.

I've experienced HPPD-like anomalies and disturbances in my visual field since as far back as I can remember. It's pretty much in the form of moderate visual snow at baseline, but in times of great stress (especially pertaining to matters of social anxiety) the random sensory noise can come close to drowning out legitimate visual input my retinae are sending to my occipital lobe, and it sort of clouds what I'm able to see in my vicinity enough to cause disorientation. A panic attack with a strong visual component is how I sometimes describe these occurrences.
While quite a few drugs exacerbate this effect temporarily for me, notably stimulants and weed, I can't say whether or not any of my drug use has contributed to a decline in my vision overall. I honestly thought I was a candidate for contracting severe HPPD effects after all my use of psychedelics once I read about it, but it seems not to be the case.
I have regular astigmatism in both eyes, but so does most of my family. I don't wear glasses or contacts and never have strain-related headaches/migraines though I'm prescribed corrective lenses. Glasses will be nice to have once more when I acquire some health insurance again but truthfully I barely need them and lenses are usually more of an inconvenience to me than my vision is.

Psychadelics just make you realize all the little optical illusions that you've become numb to.

Sometimes when I wake up and go pee in the night or wake up in the morning, I see fractals, cartoons, or other imagery in patters everywhere. If I lay in the dark and listen to music to chill out, I see patterns everywhere, amazing patters, geometric shapes that go with the music, it's really soothing. I see stuff like that in daylight too.
Being cooked extra crispy does not bother me, buy the ticket, take the ride.

i had visual anomalies before i did drugs. some hallucinations. did drugs, got new visual disturbances. they add differences, and i have a feeling that with time it will come down to altering structures within the brain or changes in brain activity. for me, there is also associated body load as well as shifts in cognitive functioning and moods.

bumpty bump if anyone else wants to participate.
@ 404 i used to have these weird days as a kid outside where it seems like transparent bubbles were floating in the sky, and then a few weird times looking through really old windows that tinted the sky orange at night, took me a bit to figure out as a kid.
last time i took some mda my eyes seemed off for about 3 days, and when i was eating acid on the regular the same deal.

My vision during the day became noticeably way better, and clearer, hard to put into words.
At night it's worse now, not bad, but definitely worse.

if it is steady dark it isn't too bad, but street lights or head lights followed by dark seems to take forever to come clear again.

Yeah exactly, I would say I have some kind of visual snow at night even after my eyes are adjusted, but I really don't know whether it has always been there, or if I just started paying attention to it after I did psychs and learned about it when reading about hppd.
It doesn't impede me in any way though so it's not like it's bad, I just happen to notice it if I pay attention lol

Poll is invalid. If I choose no for the first option, I can't answer any other question... But I have to. Where the fuck is the STAL...?
