Far cry 3 over Far Cry 4 though. I had alot more fun with the wackiness of 3 anyway plus the rain forest was a better setting and more fun to explore when looking for the games collectables.

hmm...I dunno about an ordered list...but 10 of my favorites are

Suikoden 2, Suikoden 3, Suikoden 5, SMT: Nocturne, Persona 3:FES, Red Dead Redemption, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, XCOM: Enemy Unknown/Within, TES: Morrowind, and Planescape: Torment

I suppose the honorable mentions would be Deus Ex, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Fallout 2/3/NV, Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings, Gothic 2, Empire: Total War, Suikoden, TES: Skyrim, TES: Oblivion, Hitman: Blood Money, Hitman: Contracts, and Mount and Blade: Warband

Planescape:Torment was amazing. So are the suikodens. Original Deus Ex was great. I actually like Fallout NV more than FO3. Anyone who mentioned FF7 and FF8, and esp Super Mario RPG, AWESOME! Best RPGs ever. Also Xenogears. A bit lesser known but so worth playing for jrpg fans

I liked the mechanics of Fallout: NV better than 3.... but as far as overall gameplay, mood, environment, storyline.. I much prefer 3.

I concur with that statement exactly skankism.  mechanics for NV, but story was core 3 all the way.

sometime not to far away we should be getting a new fallout.....some day.

You know Wasteland 2 is coming out in September? Wasteland was the *original* fallout. So think, sort of a Fallout 4, pretty much . Or rather, a kind of side-Fallout. and it's being made by obsidian.

I really love the new wolfenstein btw (the new order and the old blood... RTCW/ET was great too)

Although mostly I'm playing through the FFX HD remake

the rreviews for wasteland 2 made me not even want to play it.

I'm about 2/3rds through pillars of eternity btw and its pretty lackluster.  It feels like a cheap imitation of baulders gate or something.  In particular their level designer just fucking blows.

Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Old Blood are fucking sick. I played the shit out of them in the weeks coming up to The Witcher 3.

Also, Witcher 3 has definitely ascended into my favorite games of all time. It's easily the best RPG made in the last decade, if not ever :imo:

I have wolfenstien but only about half way through it when other games I was waiting for came out and stole my attention away.  I will eventually go back and finish em, and yeah I was really enjoying it.  Years of good AAA first person games with good single player story have def set the bar high for me though, and wolf definitely makes the grade.

Witcher 3 is my current love.. ermahgerdssogood.  They did such an amazing job all around on it.

teamkiller:  really regarding pillars?  Every review I read paints it as fucking awesome if you liked those old infinity engine games, baldurs gate, planescape torment, etc.  And I loved the shit out of those.  I also really loves divinity: original sin recently tho I have not beat it yet (again, side tracked by another OOOOHH SHINY....)

I'm really sad they didn't add a multiplayer option.
Haven't played the newer ones though, except Quake wars.

Return to castle Wolfenstein, Enemy territory are easily my most favourite games (due to MP)

I used to play the shit out of the old RTCW multiplayer!  I played on this big always populated 64 player server, 32 v 32.  God damn I used to love that game.

They made Fallout 2....

Also I like NV much more than FO3. I thought that it was better than oblivion and skyrim as well. Not in terms of storyline, but it's world and the gameplay, it doesn't need a linear story. It's not meant to be as much of a narrative as Fallout 3. The way I see it, FO3 is a lot like the first fallout. FO:NV is much more like fallout 2. Less story but much more gameplay.

And as far as wasteland 2 and it getting "bad reviews"

Wasteland 2

Well, like i said most of the problem is the level design.  Every level is exactly the same, and usually only 2 types of monster per 'map' with no variation.  its pretty fucking boring to hack apart 40 ghosts, then next map hack apart 40 wolf monsters, then 40 trolls or whatever.  After a couple hours you can just tell where all the 'secrets' are hidden because the same logic controls everything.

I dunno, all around is still seems like  an imitation of one of those games rather than like, equal to one of them.  Also i guess they wanted combat to be viable no matter what classes and skils you choose, so they just made it really easy.
Its got a pretty cool overall story though. i like all the soul magic.

Interesting. Twighead seems to enjoy Pillars quite a bit. I remember him telling me that the writing was excellent a few weeks ago and I marked it down to check it out, but got sidetracked by playing Wolfenstein the New Order and Witcher 3

Yeah I picked it up as part of a bundle on greenmangaming when I bought witcher 3, have it installed but have not played it yet because of witcher 3.  I know better then to try to play two RPG's at the same time.  One always wins out and the other ends up half played or less and never gets the proper time and devotion it deserves.  One at a time and I get into it more.  So I guess when I'm done with witcher pillars will probably be my next rpg.

I know what you mean tho teamkiller, thats how a lot of those older games were and I really realllllly hope its not as glaring and in my face as it is for you because I have a feeling it will make it hard for me rto enjoy also.

The original Shadow Warrior or the remake they made recently? Either way a solid choice, those games were :awesome:

In no order...

GTA - Halo - Super Mario Kart - Goldeneye - Super Mario - Duke Nukem - Legend of Zelda - CoD - Donkey Kong - Doom

I was definitely a Nintendo fanboy growing up.
