 Problem between my ps3 and tv

There seems to be an issue with the calibration between my ps3 and sharp 42" LCD tv. Netflix, videos, and dvds work fine but when it comes to interactively using the controller there's a slight delay. This makes playing battlefield 4 very difficult, ha.
At first I thought it was because of the AV cables I was using. I switched to an HDMI cable and while the video quality greatly improved, there's still an annoying delay between the input on the controller and output on the screen. There seems to be nothing helpful under my ps3's video settings.
Please help!

Thanks for the reply, I was having trouble putting into words the problem I was having.
The settings shown in the video have somewhat helped, but there is still a delay. It is upsetting, ha. I feel I should not be having as much trouble with this as I am.

Maybe the refresh rate is too high on your TV? Haha, Idk that's probably not right at all. I'd help more if I could, but I haven't played PS3 since PS4 released
