altitide is roughly between 200 to 400 ft.  yes ft not metres.

i am coastal. finding these in the "huon valley" but a little further south than that.

Found a few more patches today in one of my favourite spots in the north, definately not as prolific as last year, the cold snap came a bit earlier and the rain, well.. Didn't Rain enough. At least in this area, you can see they are drying and aren't fully formed. There weren't any pins I could see around and I did walk a good 2km stretch, this and a about 6 more were what I found.

Hi everyone,

Found these nice subs this morning, at about 650m in elevation. Was in wattle/eucalyptus forest with bracken fern and fishbone water fern as ground cover.

Nice find! Everything is so dry right now surprised they lasted, local patch had maybe 8-12 very very dried subs many aborted at pins. Looking forward to the rains this week though!
