Like you said, asking that is against the rules. But since you are brand spanking new here, I am still going to give you an answer of sorts.

Search New Zealand active threads of years past, and read through them (again?). Pay attention to when People from Auckland start posting finds, a pattern will likely emerge.

I found some Amanitas on my hunt today on the Hibiscus coast/Auckland if it counts for anything

No psilocybes yet though. Only a matter of time

Meanwhile in the backyard... Only small mushrooms so far and only one 'patch' producing at the moment. I'm concerned they will abort as it's hot here, I will likely have to cheat and water them tonight. These have been inadvertently watered I think by dew and drops from a down pipe. Hope the hunting around the rest of the country is going well! :thumbup:
