Who here is excited for this? It comes out tomorrow. I have been looking forward to it ever since beating the first one, because I expected they would eventually release a sequel. It looks like they have improved every possible mechanic for the game, should make for an insanely fun play.
For those of you unfamiliar with Hotline Miami, I highly recommend picking the first one up on Steam ASAP.

Oh wow, I had no idea it was already getting released. Should be awesome just like the first one. I'm excited for the soundtrack as much as the game.

I preordered it, because I will apparently get a copy of the soundtrack with it when it comes out. That's my way of making up for torrenting the soundtrack of the first one, I guess.
Jufin: I just realized you live in Australia. Your country's ratings board actually flat-out banned the sale of Hotline Miami 2 recently.

Oh shit really? It's funny because we finally got an R rating introduced for games, but it hasn't made any difference. They still refuse to classify some games, and it never makes sense. For example, Left for Dead II was refused and then heavily altered to the point that it's terrible, but Modern Warfare II was let in. You know that scene where you go into an airport and open fire on civilians? How could they possible go 'OK, we approve of this' but not shooting zombies?
Anyway, I'll just order it on ebay from overseas like everyone else who wants anything, haha.

The Australian political system is pretty backwards in some ways.
Anyway, anyone played this yet? The first one had such a cool atmosphere, and great gameplay. I never got really frustrated with it even after dying 50 times in a row. I love it when an indie developer makes a properly unique and awesome game, just made by 2 guys.

I played the first few levels today. It is a vast improvement over the first in practically every way. The soundtrack is fantastic.

I've never hard of any of these games before but I just watched TotalBiscuits review for the second one. You can get 1 & 2 on Steam for £14.99, I assume its recommended?

It has old school graphics, it's very violent, you need fast reflexes, it's pretty hard but not too hard as you can keep retrying the same bit over and over until you get it rather than restarting the whole level, has awesomely unique music and atmosphere, and it's really fun and addictive. If you like those kind of things then definitely get it!

I went ahead and bought both. I played like 10 minutes of the first, gave up after like my 50th try. I'll give it another shot when it isn't late at night (less motivation)

Are you playing on console or PC? I found the mouse and keyboard really good for this game.
