Bad news for us Brits, Especially weed smokers (New roadside drug testing)
    #21352044 - 03/02/15 01:26 PM (9 years, 29 days ago)

There are new roadside tests that detect drug levels compared to your blood in your body like breathalyzers. Baring in mind you only have 5 litres of blood in your body these amounts are literally traces of the drug.

For example you would be prosecuted for 5 micrograms of LSD or 50 micrograms of cocaine.

The worst part is that cannabis stays in your system for 2 weeks so literally one pull on a joint can get you in trouble.

Thank god LSD is in your system for 3 hours

Here is the table

They probaly use mouth swabs or breathalyzer devices to figure out your blood levels.

I doubt theyre using needlez to take blood from people on the side of the road. That would be fucked up.

It's a saliva test. They test for THC. According to the BBC it's in your system for 36 hours. Still long after the effects have worn off.
It's been pushed by a campaigner who lost her daughter to a speeding driver in a car that wasn't registered with him and with no insurance who happened to be high on weed. Doing 45 in a 30 zone and hit the girl in the road who was retrieving a ball.

He admitted using weed and they found half a rolled joint in the car but they couldn't test him straight away. By the time they did he levels were too low to get him for drug driving. He only got 8 months inside, he was out in 8 weeks. That's where this has come from.

It isn't bad news for Brits, it is bad news for idiots who take drugs and drive. I am not even saying that all those drugs impair driving, only that any responsible user of illegal drugs must do their part to deprive scared sober citizens of the ammunition they need to argue against legalization.

The weed levels are set too low. 2ug is nothing. They've done this deliberately. You can be done for drug driving and banned for a year, 36 hours after you smoked your last joint.
It's nothing more than persecution at a time when public opinion is leaning towards decriminalization/legalization.

The end of the vid says it all. She said it's her daughter who has done this, not them. They are trying to validate the death of a loved one by persecuting 100,000's of innocent people. This is how campaigners with an axe to grind satisfy themselves.

The first people subjected to this BS should be the police and politicians.

You can blame that dick for driving around at 45 mph. You can blame her for thinking weed is the problem, as if smoking weed makes you jump into cars you don't own and race around at 45. And you can blame our shitty justice system that let this scumbag out after 8 weeks for killing a girl when he was traveling way over the speed limit.
