Do you guys look only in fields that are fairly secluded, with no overlooking farmers house?

I've been looking for isolated cow fields but the majority of them are so open I feel too nervous to trespass.

I know how you feel man, I decided it's better just to grow them...

It's definitely worth looking... I'm more interested in finding subs in SEQLD at this time of the year

Please read the forum rules before posting again, as your post breaks one of the rules we have. Thanks.

4. Do not ask about current finds in your area.
These posts have been flooding the forum for years. If you're curious about if mushrooms are growing in your area, get out there and look! Mushrooms don't read the books. Sometimes they fruit outside of season. There is no set date for any season, only vast generalizations. Your best bet is that if it's close to the season for the mushroom you are looking for and its been raining, you just might find some.

Hey guys,

Give the rain we had last week and the heat wave looming, I thought it might be time to resuscitate the thread!

I might go have a look around on the weekend!

Searched the whole paddock to find 1 cube then found several more right near where i parked as i was about to leave amongst the trees in the first photo. They were abit dry but still healthy with no decay. In the fridge for an hour while i went to aldi and picked up a dehydrator for $40.

I think they will really take off after the next downpour.

It's been a very dry year. There hasn't been more than 1mm of rain on the patch I usually harvest pan cyans from but after the last few days there's been a lot of rain just not in areas I'm familiar with.

I'll have a look around tomorrow probably and try to find something. I'm not familiar with gold tops though. I know pan cyan need a day without rain else the pins seem to abort early.

Your post has boosted my confidence a bit. I've been pretty disappointed by QLD after my experiences down in VIC and TAS.
