Potential problem with pressure cooking

Made the mistake last night of pressure cooking 4 quart sized canning jars without putting any tin foil on them *face palm.  Are these jars still safe to use and would re-cooking them with tin foil be a good idea?

I actually intentionally don't use aluminum Lids.

I do this because it helps add extra moisture to the grains that I need - because My grains aren't properly hydrated due to low quality and the grains bursting too much.

With aluminun lids they dry out too much - without they seem to be just right.

But this is all circumstantial and for you it could add too much water. :shrug:

If theres not too much just shake up the grains and distribute the water at the bottom of the jars and hopefully after a few minutes the whole jar won't be overly saturated.

but whats on your lid?, you probably(i hope)made a hole on the lid and put a gaz exchange filter like polyfill or tyvek or synthetic filter disc

if you have sdf(synthetic filter disc) on your lids you dont need foil, but if you have some tyvek or polyfill you must have a foil
because the water that is on your filter can carry contam through the filter to your grain

Are they too wet? can you see juice inside? Pic? If they are too wet and not too burst you can stick them in a frying pan after straining xcess water and coke them and stir constantly ill they pass the toilet paper test then dont forget the aluminum. They would be fine too depending on the info you give :laugh:

if you let them cool COMPletely in the pc they may be ok but...
i would re-cook em with foil, take no chance if you want clean spawns
it won't burn
i did cook 2x the same grain and they where fine

Personally I would either redo the jars completely or (most likely) just take out all the rye berries, make sure that the moisture content is correct and then PC them again but this time with aluminium foil.
