Buying Dying Light today
    #21190670 - 01/28/15 10:12 AM (9 years, 2 months ago)

I am picking up Dying Light today.  Already got a couple friends who play, it looks really fun.

Anybody buying this game?

I got it,but I'm not sure how it got such a good rating.
It's rather boring to me.
I've been wandering around doing errands for hours with no action:thumbdown:
It's a lot like that stupid Alien Isolation game as well:facepalm:
If within the first couple of hours I don't get any action,I'm done!
This is why I'm glad I have a PC,because I would be really mad having to waste money on all these new games out now days, because the majority of them suck!

Its definitely a slow paced game at first.  What kind of action are you talking about and how far into the game have you gotten?

I think its pretty fun so far and Im only like 8% completion.  Its like Assassins Creed but zombies in current times in an open world with other players.  Parkour through the city and craft weapons, I have some pretty cool ones already.

Night time is full of action if you can handle it.  Once the sun goes down extra strong and fast zombies come out that can climb too so you gotta be fast and alert enough to just keep jumping and climbing until you get away.

I think I actually jumped the gun!
I didn't even make as far as to fight anything.
I just don't like games that start out having you run on these pointless errands, before you get to the action.
That Alien Isolation was like that, and I played that for hours running back and forth doing pointless shit, and I never once saw a single Alien,or any other enemy for that reason.
I just do not like adventure games at all,and that is exactly what Dying Light was turning out to be,until you told me about all the other stuff to look forward to!
I'll give it another go,and see if it gets better:thumbup:

I actually loved Alien Isolation because it was like an interactive movie. Especially exploring the Sevastopol.

Well to each his own, definitely get it another shot though!  Sometimes its not as fast as you may want but so far I really like it.  Im leveling up, probably 40% through the game and creating weapons and getting to the next city was pretty fun.  I also like that you can build a skill tree just like WoW or Diablo.
