First time mixing my own agar recipe question PDA

Ok quick question.
Im using Telephone agar agar powder
Most of the PDA recipes call for 20 to 25 grams agar to litre of water, like 2 ir 3 tbsp of this powder is about 20 grams.
Nothing says how much potato flake by weight to add per litre of water, or honey. Anyone know how much potato flake per litre of water?
First time not using pre mix. Thamks!

This stuff is a buck for a 25 gram packet, its nice to know I can just walk a few blocks up to the more ethnic neighborhood and pick it up whenever
I've been using MEA premix and I've had the same jar for like six months finally ran out
It seems easy enough to mix but yea weight wise I have no idea how much potato flake or honey to add. Just 20 g agar per litre.
This stuff mixes up really really stiff so measurements in tablespoons dont really translate so well to those recipes

So at first I tried Pasty's recipe for pre poured plates, about 2 tablespoon agar 2 teaspoon flakes and a bit of honey or karo, amd a half cup (120 ml) water.
It was way to stiff and I couldnt get it to melt, it was stiff like dough. So the agar I have must mix up too stiff?
I weighed out the two tablespoons and they weigh close to 17 grams.
So I took the usual 20 gram agar to litre mixture and tried making a half litre batch.
I used about 12 grams agar , 600 ml water and scaled up the potato flakes in Pasty's recipe to suit the six hundred ML water, it came to ten teaspoons. I added a few drops of Karo syrup.
So thats a photo of it above, it mixed up like my pre mix agar , Ill have to feel the hardness after I pour something. I have no idea if the ratios in my recipe were good so I just let it cool and if someone gives me the go ahead ill use it.
It was about fifty cents worth of agar anyways

I bought some microbiology grade agar powder recently (paid too much) and man that stuff is super stiff. I had to add water a number of times just to be able to keep mixing it. And this was just during the prepping part for Pastywhytes easy agar tek. It seemed to turn out in the end, but it set up pretty hard once it cooled. Hope it works...

I think Pasty uses bars he grinds up, I know he says you need to experiment to get the consistency you want. I thinn the bars might grind up fluffier than the powder.
At 20 grams to a litre the agar part mixes up just fine Im just confused about how much potato flake to a litre
The premix is nice, its just agar and malt extract mixed together. Mixing it up my self is so easy I think Im gunna continue doing this, once I get the recipe correct

I weighed out the flakes I used, 10 teaspoons came out to ten grams exactly.
So my recipe was 10 gram agar agar 10 gram potato flake a couple drops of karo and 500ml water
Anyone know if thats a good base to start with? It hardened up nice well see if it pours well
