Do you always consolidate?

No. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It depends how the substrate looks.
If the sub isn't overly wet from temp swings, then I'll consolidate. I don't like leaving a sopping sub sitting in stale air, because of contamination increases.
I find my subs perform better with a consolidation period ranging from a few days to a week or more.
Sometimes a sub will start to knot up right upon full colonization, making a consolidation period pretty pointless and potentially counter productive.
I've done many tubs that I put into fruiting right at 100 percent, that did just fine.
If a tub is going to take a week plus to make pins past 100 percent, then I'd rather the sub spend that week without losing moisture in fruiting conditions, if that makes sense. I also like to give the myc time to digest the sub for a strong first flush. These are the 2 main reasons why I consolidate, conditions permitting.
Who knows if it even really matters.

I think it does Eagle,
If you consolidate I'd expect an amazing first flush with diminishing returns on your second and third. I completely agree with all your points and I consolidated my first mono and then spawned the others at 100% for experiments sake and I will say I prefer to consolidate until I see knots.
That way I also know the culture won't destroy my casing layer because when I introduce fresh air it'll be more interested in fruiting then colonizing.

So a late casing. That's what I am doing now on my PE minis. Today is the 4th day of consolidating and they're starting to knot up pretty good. Probably case and fruit tomorrow.

Tub 2 is closest,
The other 3 I'd give two more days at least. Tub 2 is probably gonna be done tonight or tomorrow. I see tiny patches of coir it could eat up.
I'd just fruit tub 2 tomorrow night.

Stuff them all real tight to start until you get some serious condensation. Then gradually loosen every 12 hours (When you go to bed and when you wake up) until you have the same lines of FAE as Frank.
Tight bottom, loose top.

Are those little knots everywhere? If so then
I would fruit it dude, or case if that's what you were going to do. I fruited this tub when it was like this (granted it was bacterial).
turned into this

Yeah..and you don't case with hpoo. You can case with leftover cvg if you have it.

Yeah don't put shit on top
Don't even worry about casing bro, you have plenty of moisture in there. For your first set of tubs I'd just watch and see how they react to no casing. Plenty of people get canopies.
I would fruit those tubs.
Love the spongebob reference.
