Just curious as I'm a new member, but as a Florida hunter why wouldn't I look for information on ID from fellow Florida hunters.  There seems to be such a variety of same sp shrooms that look different in different areas.  Seems asking those most familiar with the area is the best course of action.

Just in this last request I got two different answers - one of which told me they were good eating and another (a TI) says they are toxic.  Naturally I'm looking for as reliable of information as I can get.  I want to respect rules here so if I must post ID requests in an ID thread I will.  But a little clarity would be appreciated.

Thanks to all for your help.

Users in the "official" state threads don't usually like to see them get cluttered up with ID requests and posts about weather, etc. Also, you will get a broader swath of responses (including TIs from all over the world) in the open forum because not everyone looks at the state threads.

Happy New Year!

I had the day off today and after shaking off a hangover, went out for a hike in the prairie this morning. I found many Panaeolus cyanescens as well as a few Psilocybe cubensis.

Here's a few photos from my hunt.
