 DMT and ME **trip report done**

ok I am going to take my first tokes of n,n DMT. we will try to take at least 3 tokes but we will see.
I got it all worked out. I will post a trip report on here after it.
tomorrow is lift off! that is 11/11/2003. I have prepared my mind for this through mediation. I know I wont be able to truly prepare for it but I got to try somehow. 
The people taking it are slipnot420 and zerohero. my roomie(trip sitter)will be here.
any suggestion...and comments...and good vibes you want to send my way is very helpful. 
good questions I have are:
how to sit? do I close my eyes? should I lay down? any advice out there.
This is going to be an experience I know I wont forget.

As far as your questions, just do what you feel is right,
you might want to be sitting down though and maybe
have your roommate ready to grab the pipe from your
hand if need be, but I never found this nessary but still
not a bad idea. And take the biggest hits you can and
hold them in, 3 hits sounds right, but you'll know when
you get to where you want to be, there's really no (physical)
danger when smoking DMT, and hold on!!! your in for a ride

Man DMT interest me so much...but I promised myself I was done with drugs since I had lost my friends due to Mushrooms. I hope you have a great trip zero. Please come back with a trip report also im wanting to know it all.

If you lost your friends due to mushroom usage they wern't
good friends in the first place IMO, I've lost alot of friends to
uncle ron but certainly not mushrooms. I think I'm better of
without people who judge me on drugs I do (did) anyway.
Hey zero, Did you do an extraction? If so which one QT?

yeah I did the QT method. it was easy I have learned alot though. next time it will be alot easier. DMT world helped out alot and deepblue42 helped me out alot.
thanks guys for the support. I will post a big trip report if I can.. I hope I don't blackout or anything.

No I mean my friend had died due to mushrooms. I guess he was tripping for his second time with some other friends of mine and took 4 grams which was to much for him to handle. He said he wasnt feeling well. So he walked home and told his parents what was wrong and went to bed. After a bit I guess he left the house and took the car and was speeding and hit a tree at around 90 mph.
*edit* Zero I dont mean to worrie you about your DMT trip at all...im just informing jtryp. Have fun and make a report man I mean it.

thanks osker246 for telling me. just remember you need to be safe when doing anydrug.. driving is a big no no.
you can do drugs just don't do them in a unsafe way. I will be in my room and around lots of pillows and blankets. I will have my trip sitter hold the pipe for me. so everythign will be fine.. I just want lots of good vibes.. that will help me.
I also heard that if you tell the person to smile once they take the toke that will help them. the smiling action will help make the experience pleasurable.
I am a man of faith so I am not afraid. I just hope to meet some beings.

thanks jtryptamine. I have alot of respect for all things I do.. and recently my mood has been in the best its been my entire life so this will only make it better. (crosses fingers)
are theyy making a good vibe icon.. I would love to see that one.
I am into native american stuff so this is right down my alley. I will be taking the ayah brew in a week or two. I hope it will help me reflect on this experience.

HeavenlyBlue - yeah I plan on just resting. I been listening to alot of sphongle and terrance McKenna.
entiformatie - I am making both. I think its worth it to make the freebase. its gave me a learning experience about chemistry doing the extraction. I am more comfortable with doing it now adn doing other extraction.

I have a comfortable room that I need to clean pretty soon.
we are going to on the floor I think. blanket and pillows around us. kinda like a indian ritual. We will sit on my indian rug. and lean against the bed I believe. I am going to pick up slipnot420 soon!
I don't think I will listen to music for the first time. but I love the sphongle song "a new way to say hooray". its great. and its deeply influenced by DMT. and "DMT" by sphongle is good too.

yeah I hade a great time.. I took a big toke.. my toke was about 15 long.. I kept sucking as the smoke filled the chamber. slipnot convinced me to take another toke of it.. I was gone by the second toke but I took it anyway.
its short but thats a good thing.

I'm glad to hear everything went well for both of you guys. I have some mimosa hostilis and I plan on using elfspice's tek really soon. I can't wait to read your trip report zerohero, it sounds like you had a really good time. I'm sure it will be pretty hard to explain everything though. What did you use to smoke the spice? Anyways, glad you enjoyed it...can't wait till I can do the same.

I didn't breakthrough to teh other side but I was going there. if I would have taken a big 3rd toke I would have been there. It was a great first time though.

I see the test tube with the crystals at the bottom. I held the straw in my hand as slipnot and my roommate lit 2 lighters to create the fine white smoke that I was about to toke. I let the smoke fill up a little bit and then I put the straw in the test tube and sucked all that I could. I instantly noticed a plastic taste in my mouth and I began to think that I was burming the straw. I didn't stop taking the hit I sucked what must have been 15 seconds long. New smoke was still being created because the lighter were still on the test tube evaporating the DMT freebase.
I started to feel a little strange as I removed my lips from the straw. like a "whoa" feeling. I closed my eyes and began to see some colors explode im my mind. then I hear slipnot say take another toke. I instinctly rejected this thought but I came to my senses after a few seconds of thinking. I sucked the rest of the freebase smoke left in the pipe. I was sitting indian style position on the floor. Under me was my healing rug. It brings me good luck during my trips. It has some interesting patterns on it that started to get brighter as the seconds past. I remember looking at my arm and seeing each individual hair on my arm. Everything was defined. I could see every angle of my room. I almost felt I was everywhere and not there at the same time. My lips felt like I had burned them when I smoke the DMT and my tongue was numb. I figured that I had 3rd degree burns on my lips but for some reason I didn't care. I accepted thats what I get for doing it and I carried on with my experience.
About one minute has pasted now. I began to breathe very heavy and I closed my eyes. I saw stars with a black sky. the star were all the color of the rainbow. I could see that I was moving forward and my speed was increasing. The light from the start began to stretch as my speed had moved past the speed of light. I felt like I was going to another side of something maybe another planet. I opened my eyes and I looked at slipnot and my roommate they had noticed I wasn't talking or moving that much. I couldn't talk nor would I with all that was going on. the things I saw in my room were amazing. patterns I had never seen before. they way things moved and they way the colors changed were beauiful. The light had increased in the room too as everything was brighter. It seemed like a sunny day outside eventhough it was cloudly. I remember looking at my clothes and seeing every thread that made them. Everything in the room was more defined. I usaully just stared at the healing rug during the trip because it made me feel good. I closed my eyes again and I was still moving and I couldn't stop. I don't think i ready wanted to stop though, I wanted to see where I was going too. as the seconds pasted I became very comfortable with myself. I was sweating like crazy though. my hands and face felt like it was dripping in sweat. was I dieing? am I really leaving for good? what will I see next? all kept popping in my head.
I could see that the speed had started to decrease and my trip was coming down. I didn't mind it though, I wasn't upset for I had a beautiful experience. I now felt like I was falling back to the earth. so the stars began to go in reverse as I kept falling. I now opened my eyes and realized what had all happened and what I had seen. Everything was moving around like I was on the peak of 5 gram of shrooms. The visuals weren't like shrooms though, DMT has its own visuals I think. The colors faded in and out and the patterns were not familiar. I kept asking why the healing rug was green. slipnot said "nope its black man" I was a little confused but I accepted it anyway. I felt my lips and asked if they were burn to a crisp. they were perfectly fine eventhough they were numb. after about 10 minutes I could walk around and talk good. I am very glad I took this and I hope to have a breakthrough that will send me to that planet I was going too.

we used a test tube. its for chemistry labs. heh it worked but I am going to make a freebase pipe soon. we used that because its strong and wouldn't break with the heat. we didn't want to get let down by a broken pipe.

Sounds like you had an awesome trip. I hope I can smoke DMT someday myself(I've done Ayahuasca, but it wasn't nearly as intense as what your experience sounds like). Maybe when you get a freebase pipe you can take get more out of it. I'm glad you had a great time. One of my favorite sayings is, "Life's short. Trip hard."

slipnot didn't have as good as a time as I did. he didn't toke enough I think. he sez differently though.
I will try for 3 tokes later today. I put so much freebase DMT in the pipe I got enough for about 3 more experiences. hehe yeah for me.
I am going to see these damn elfs everyone is talking about.

I ended up with white crystals!! my first time too.
The crystals are a little dirty because I don't have a good way to seprate the napatha from the black sludge. a tiny bit of black got in there but for the most part it is clean.. when freebasing it though the crystals turned black and liquidified and then smoke formed.
I was wonder whether that was how it was suppose to be or not.

IME the crystals melt into a yellowish/brownish goop (kinda like honey but darker) and then start to smoke like crazy after a lil bit, it always left a lil brownish/black resin that gets really crusty to.

I have been doing DMT for 20 years and it never, ever ceases to amaze me. It trully is a magical molecule. I have never smoked a DMT extract ,just synthetic. It pleases me to see people able to sucessfully extract and experiance DMT. This makes the experiance available to alot of people that don't have acess to lab made DMT. I'm glad you had a good experiance and enjoyed it. As for breaking through I find 50 mg. to be a pretty good dose for ensuring a breakthrough, What matters most is how you smoke it. As you know you want the crystals to vaporize not burn. That way you can get most of the DMT without wasting it. IV is also a way to make sure none gets wasted. Though I wouldn't recommend doing so with an extract. Plus IV is quite abit more intense.
As you become familiar with DMT I would suggest trying it with mushrooms or LSD. I usually only smoke DMT during my mushroom trips. 50mg. of DMT after the peak of 4-5 of mushrooms is great.
It allows me to get higher longer and pull more out of the experiance.
Also since the mushrooms have already shattered my ego its less traumatic and I feel I am able to get further in more .
I only trip 2-4 times a year now so I want to make sure that the few experiances I do have are completly profound. DMT+mushrooms practically guarentees this.

I need to measure out the doses.. I didn't do it this time. I don't have a scale that would work. I am glad I found such a wonderfull drug such as this and I am sure I will be trying it on mushrooms pretty soon.
the visuals and thoughts on DMT are my favorite so far.. I have seen things that amazed me to no end. I am still pondering what I had seen. the thoughts and feel was great.
I woould love to try and make synthetic DMT someday. Its a goal I guess.
I need a bigger pipe I believe for next time. how far should I hold the flame from the pipe? I let the tip of the flame touch the glass. the glass blackened by the lighter fluid and the DMT melted into a pool of brown resin. does that sound about right to anyone.

ChinaCat72, does all smoked DMT taste like burning plastic, or is it just the extractions? I have never smoked synthetic, only extractions. The taste always reminds me of burning plastic, but I was never sure if it was something else in the extraction or the DMT itself.

haha okay ill write a trip report if i can
so zero was lighting it for me and i was inhaling as much as i could, (it tastes so horrible).
Then i just sat back cause something strange was coming over me. The room immediatly became very very bright, and my body felt heavy and strange. I closed my eyes and my throat felt really parched, i thought it had closed off. At the time it really seemed like i had damaged it, when i tried to swallow it felt like i couldn't (although i apparently was). I was scared at first but then quickly accepted it. I thought "well its been a long tiring life and now i can go back and rejuvanate my soul" or somesthing weird like that. I didn't even feel like i was in my body anymore.
I'm really not sure what happened afterwards. I felt like i was moving really fast somewhere. It was really bright even though my eyes were closed, and i saw these exploding stars (maybe cause zerohero had been talking about seeing stars?). Then i saw this strange landscape start to form, with these swirling hills, and these really strange trees that were bent all weird. It was sooooo bright and so colorful. Those stars i had seen were now all up in the sky and bright and twinkling. Then these curved rows of eyes started to form in the air next to the tree. It was this weirdass fairytale world. I remember after that i heard a very strange "beep" noise. It wasnt really a beep, it was like a loud long tone..but i cant really describe it because i have never heard anything like that before. It sounded very alien. I remember thinking that noise was to alert everybody that i had touched down (whatever that means). I was listening for the ripping cellophane noise but i never heard it. I had a lot of different things i wanted to say but i couldn't manage to say anything.
I'm trying to explain what happened but I feel like im doing a very bad job because what i experienced was sooo abstract, it was so different from anything ive ever experienced that my brain couldn't really understand it.
After a little bit I started to talk to zerohero about all the strange stuff on my mind. I thought it had worn off but it was obviously still in effect. His room seemed like a spaceship. I had no idea where i was, or who zerohero was. It didn't really matter though. I was just talking about all the weird things that were coming to my mind
I slowly glided down from that, and spent the whole time trying to figure out wtf happened.
Seriously it was weeeeeeeiiiiirrrrrd.
DeepBlue42 once said to me that DMT felt way too familiar to him, and i totally agree. If i didnt know better i would SWEAR i've done it before.
I don't think i went far enough, no DMT elves or anything. No ripping cellophane sound, and it didn't feel like millions of years passed. but it was still really cool. I cant wait to try it again - hopefully i will get further
So in conclusion, DMT is very very weird.

Sounds awesome, Have either of you read DMT: The Spirit Molecule? I just finished it a couple weeks ago. Made me really want to give dmt a try even moreso than before I read it. Anyhow, looking forward to more reports!

What plant did you guys use for the DMT extraction (Mimosa?). Where did you order the bark from that you used to extract? I've been looking for a site that has potent products and reasonable prices. Also, why did you think the QT method would be easier than Elfspice's tek? The new Elfspice tek looks like it takes a LOT less time, and is very detailed. Any help would be appreciated since I plan on extracting within the next month.

Yes its a very strong taste with synthetic DMT. Funny thing is that the times I have IV'd it I have gotten a funny taste in my mouth. Not near as strong or present as when inhaled ,but still a noticable taste.
I have often wondered if the extracted DMT tasted any different. I guess if your extract is very pure it shouldn't. I would love to hear some comparisons between synthetic and extracted by somebody experianced with both. I have often wondered if the extract is a slightly different trip because of the possiblity of other alkaloids being present(ie. 5meo). I guess it depends on the plant used ,but it seems that if there was traces of 5-meo in the extract it could alter the trip since its active in such small amounts.

I've never IVed DMT, but whenever I IM DPT I can taste it a little also, I thought it was just a mental thing with me though, maybe not???
As far as extracts with 5meo in it, I read in multiple places that the 5meo will overpower the DMT and it's not nearly as good as a straight DMT ride.

I have smoked both extracted and synthetic.but i did not break thru with the synthetic DMT because of a poor smoking technique, i think i burned it.so i cant say anything about the differences in the trip. but i did notice with the synthetic DMT i got a very high blood pressure(i felt very very tight) more than when you fail to break thru with extracted dmt.but that could just be that the synthetic dmt was my first time.

When i smoked it, my lips, tongue, and throat felt totally numb like they had been badly burned, but that went away once the DMT wore off
Does that happen to anybody else???
Is that an effect of the DMT acting on my brain or is it the smoke that does it?

That's called hypertension, it's good to avoid it when you can, so dont smoke it if it looks like it's going to give you hypertension. So like if you've been smoking the DMT pipe a while without cleaning or adding more and it's all brown, just go ahead and turn that down..

we used Mimosa to extract it. I got it from BBB's a shroomery sponsor.
we used the QT method because it was easy and there.. I will use a another tek next time. a much quicker tek thats for sure. I need to get better lab equipement first. serpatory (sp?) funnels are = K3Y

For those who don't have a separatory funnel you might consider the freeze separation method, though there's still some experimentation to be done (on my part?). I'd rather use a separatory funnel but others don't have that option, so lets all learn more about this freeze method...check out the experimental forum in the new DMT world.

i love my bomex 500ml sep funnel. it only cost me 20$ and it made my life a lot easier. Zerohero i told you where i got mine already, you should have slipknot get one when he comes back home. basters are alright, but its a little harder to keep some of the acidic water from sneaking in with the non-polar stuff.

The water and non-polar will seperate in a baster just like
it does in the beaker, all you do is squirt the water into the
flask and leave the solvent in the baster, separtory funnels
are a watse of money, I have alot of glassware and have
never bought one yet.

yeah I am getting my funnel soon.  I can't wait to try it.
2 liter bottle sounds like a good job hmm should have thought of that sooner.
I am smoking the last of it this weekend. I hope to have a break through experience then. I will on shrooms too I believe. that iwll make it very intense I hear.

ok, two questions
1) where is the QT link? I couldnt find it.
2) how many times do you rinse your final product? dis the colour change more clear each time or was it good after the first one (or none)?

I didn't rinse it AT ALL. the product was very clean it didn't even really have a yellow tint to it. the only thing that stopped it from being super clean was my method of gething the emulsion out of the jar.. I am going to try the freeze method next.

Zero, what method of seperation did you use if you didn't use the bottle method or a seperatory funnel? Did you just hang a ziploc baggie slanted, and then cut the corner off and seperate emulsions that way? Also, how long does it take for the emulsion to appear?

both good questions...
I used a very easy and available method.. turkey baster.. it worked.. but I am cheap as hell.. I am not going to do that anymore.. I am getting a separtory funnel.. I used one a few weeks ago and I will never go back to any other way... it was the easiest thing ever. well while I wait I am actually going to use the freezer method.. I hear that works well. it just takes a bit longer because it needs to freeze first.
I think I started with 8 oz of MHRB and I ended up with only 500mg total.. I think it was due to 2 things..
1. its my first time. I learned alot from experience. it just something we all learn and it can't be taught.
2. I got my stuff from BBB's.. people have said that BBB's Mhrb isn't the best or the highest grade of quality, so I am going to use that as a variable.
in all it was a good yeild, but I am going use Soma's extraction guide next.. well I have used it but I didn't get any better yeild so I am going to tweak the method and make it work more.. plus I am going to reuse the material again to see if I can squeeze more out of it. this method only takes 24 hours to do.. We did it in under 24 hours.. the drying process takes a bit longer for more than 24 hours total.
so I will post more once I get new product.. I will be doing more experimenting to prefect a method that is easy to use and safe as the rest. hehe
