Whispy white mold is normally cobweb but without pics I can't confirm.

Germination can take up to two weeks, by the third I'd be worried and after a month of no growth AND no contam, I'd shoot an LC into it just to see what happens. MS (Multi-Spore which is what you get from a vendor syringe) is random so saying "GT takes its time" is just someone who got bad genetics. Not attacking you, just want to teach you before someone meaner (PussyFart. You'll probably get to know him REAL good when you post misinformation. Happened to me.) corrects you.

I'd look on craigslist in your area to find a better PC. If it's leaking (Shouldn't be used right here but since you don't have anything else ) and only reaches 12 PSI then every time you use it it's a gamble. Black Friday is also coming up if you're in the states. I'm DEFINITELY going to grab an AA (All American PC) if I get the chance.

I've always heard good things about MS Cambodian for some reason so I'm not surprised that it's taking off haha,

I'm suggesting an LC because agar work is a step above that.
If he can handle agar then go for it and you'll have great results and in the long run you'll benefit much more from learning agar.

But if you read the teks (I suggest Pastywhytes') and watch the vids (RR Doing Agar and don't think you can handle that/afford it then an LC is much easier.

The likelihood of contam in one of them is why I suggest three.

I'd start with a simple SGFC and once you know how to treat the mushrooms then move on up.
