GREAT job of collecting those free books!  I've downloaded them all into my bee folder, tho' I suspect they are mostly geared toward traditional langstroth/treatment heavy methods which I eschew at this point.

I've been studying on bees for about 3 years, constructed a topbar hive last year and put a swarm in it in July.  It's been fun and I've made my mistakes.

I have a site up with pics and some documentation of my journey, some links to online resources:

http://topbarhives.info

There are awesome resources on the net.  I decided to go with a natural approach using a topbar hive.  If you build your own hive and catch a swarm you're in it for nickels.

I think we should have a beekeeper forum - gather the existing threads under that.

All the cool kids 'r doin' it.

yeah, fuck all those squares who don't do this

There is a "Bees" forum here already, but it's dead as fuck!...

Glad to see someone else knows what they're doing here

Did a search for bees on all the boards...  Rather appalled at what some folks are saying, jes plain wrong.  ;-)

Seems to me that interest is picking up...  Where's the "bee" board?  It didn't pop up in the first coupla pages of search results.

I'm there.  I'll try to get a thread goin' to encourage folks to get their woodenware together over the winter so they're primed to get a swarm come spring.  ;-)
