Beginner Agar Question

I am trying to determine if the bottles of agar I bought are complete or need to be mixed with nutrients?  It is Now Real Food Agar Powder. It says the only ingredient is Agar-Agar powder, so I'm thinking it needs supplements. It has 25 calories per 8 g tablespoon, and the nutritional analysis (daily requirements) is less than 1% sodium, 3% potassium, 2% total carbohydrate, 4% fiber, 1% protein, 4% calcium, 10% iron.

    I have read that many experienced people supplement with malt dextrose. Is this significantly superior to Karo syrup and potato flakes that I already have.

Potato flakes work but you will need to add dextrose.  Look in beer brewing shops
