California #1! ....in poverty says US Census Bureau
    #20739681 - 10/22/14 06:56 PM (9 years, 5 months ago)

FTA:California continues to have – by far – the nation’s highest level of poverty under an alternative method devised by the Census Bureau that takes into account both broader measures of income and the cost of living

A tale of two states. The most billionaires, the most poverty. The best of times, the worst of times. Meanwhile, the state government doubles down on stupid with policies that protect the crony capitalist tech sector and Hollywood millionaires at the top and the mass of illegals at the bottom. Sad to watch such mismanagement making things so miserable in the most beautiful state in the land.

What is poverty anyway? Is that when you only have one fulltime job or something?

Did you read my link? It factors in cost of living as well as other factors. With cost of living California has the highest poverty rate.

It's a great place to live. I'm glad many people don't want to live here based on stupid ideological reasons.
That said, many people do want to live here.

Everybody knows the red states are most dependant on the feds. Its obvious really, they lead the US in obesity, lack of education, retarded conservatism and religion. I don't think they could be more wrong if they tried.
