both would most likely work.

go with the cheaper, although check to see if they have been used.

I found one that is 35 x 35 x 3 is this not thick enough for a hepa filter it says 99.99 .3 micron.

We can't tell you whether or not those will work. You need your blower to provide about 100 CFM at the static pressure of your filter. We have no idea what power your blower puts out or the resistance of the filters.

Either could work, depending on your blower.

These are the TEKs I use. They're all as cheap and easy as possible, just like your mom.

I could always buy a new blower, that's not a big deal.

Post your blower specs. And the blower is usually more expensive than the filter.

Tells me nothing. Post a date sheet on it. It may be 546@ free air but might only be 100cfm @ 0.5

Well I just looked up a few DIY designs and they show an entirely differently blower so I surely fucked up. Mine looks something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-240CFM-Inline-Duct-Fan-Booster-Exhaust-Ductwork-Metal-Blade-Blower-Air-Vent-/171351128236?pt=US_Hydroponics&hash=item27e552b8ac --- Granted I have to say I never had a contam with it.

You can't use those little boosters but they do make in line centrifugal fans that are much more powerful. Just Google the serial number on the thing and link us.

Or......is it actually exactly like that? And cost about $25?

Yeah that's not gonna do much of anything to provide laminar flow. Those type of fans move air differently than blowers and really won't work

I dunno....

I've seen an inline fan work for laminar flow.
you could get a conversion piece to go from round duct to rectangular. then slap that beauty on your box.

the 1"sp that we try to make is actually a measurement of the pressure within the box, caused by the filter.
hence why we do not pay attention to the listed sp on the filter.

we keep 1"sp in the plenum, with 100cfm/f2 coming out at filter face.

SO, if your filter was 24x24x6, you can replace it with a 24x24x6...
