There should be either a data sheet with it or a sticker on the side telling when it was tested and the resistance it developed. This is the info you MUST have

definitely get the 24x24, even if u only mess with jars now, u will surely move to bags soon. i only use 12x24 hood, and its annoying as shit to do bags, i can only do 2 at a time. personally, i would ask for a picture of the front and back, maybe even with a piece of paper in front of it with the date, if its used. that way u know there are no ruptures or tears in the HEPA before u get it. if u receive it, and there are some dents, he could blame it on shipping, even though they were there before being shipped.

Originally I wanted to build a smaller one so it would conceal better, I mean how the hell do you explain what that is on your desk over there haha
But the 24 x 24 one does seem like the way to go, Ive used bags but I kinda prefer jars to them, at least for the moment, but even so it would be way nicer to be able to lift something up kinda high without having to worry if its still in the flow or not
Ive got an email to the guy, he advertised as brand new but well see. He takes returns up to two weeks. If the info checks out Im going to take it!

OK..
So, I found a filter I like its 24 x 18 x 5.8 @ 1" SP
I found a blower that is 549 cfm @ free air and 360 cfm @ 0.8 sp
If I think I understand this right finally these two should match ok?

Its 3sf so it would need like 300CFM at around .8sp?
This blower blows 360 @ .8sp (thats as high as the chart on the blower specs went) and the filter is 1" sp so it sounds like it would work to me?
Thnx for all the input man been a huge help on this
CFM @ 0.000-In. SP: 549 CFM @ 0.100-In. SP: 538 CFM @ 0.200-In. SP: 510 CFM @ 0.300-In. SP: 500 CFM @ 0.400-In. SP: 480 CFM @ 0.500-In. SP: 450 CFM @ 0.600-In. SP: 435 CFM @ 0.700-In. SP: 390 CFM @ 0.800-In. SP: 360
Thats what the seller said on that blower, so this chart means its 549 free air to 360 at .8, it looks like at 1" it would be above 300cfm still

It will be just about right, or right enough. Remember to add .2 resistance for a prefilter. But yes that's good enough.

So what else do I need for this project? Short of wood and pre filter and silicone What sort of work does the wiring require? What do I need, just things I can buy from the hardware store

Whoop whoop! Filter and fan are in the mail!
Im freaking stoked I should complete this for a bot 300$
The same blower, 24 x 18 on fungi perfecti is like 1100 bux. Which I dont think is a rip off considering it looks like good wood and craftsmanship but man Im too poor for that

3/4 in plywood, screws, tape measure, furring strips (scrap wood), silicone, a heavy duty extension cord for wiring, circular or skill saw.

Yep. Only 3 wires to wire and ones the ground. Just if the fan spins the wrong way reverse your wires.
