Should I pick these?
    #20608196 - 09/23/14 07:42 PM (9 years, 6 months ago)

So I'm about to roll...advice on whether I should pick these off or give them a chance? Mycelium was growing a bit too slow so it caused these guys to get a little too big. Thanks in advance guys

they'll live through a dunk... I would pick them anyway and eat them fresh. roll in verm then put in a fruiting chamber.

they'll survive a dunk. it's not the size that kills them it's poor handling of pins. shrooms of any size are 100% mycelium.

You have no idea how op is going to dunk the cake he may mishandle it for all you know so in that case they wouldn't survive and if they did it wouldn't be worth it you should just pick them

it's not like they'll rot if they don't survive then pick them then. but they may keep growing if OP wishes.

I expect most people not to act like retards and have them prove me wrong later. So I'll give op the advice as if he is not going to mishandle his cake. Besides in that case any size pin would die

also don't double post.

It's best to pick them when they're that big

What do you want from me man? I can back that up, I've grown cubensis. Yeah pins will survive and some will abort but if they're that fucking big then just pick them, why bother with big invitro pins when your gonna have a flush soon? Haha  Eat up op!

Well these aren't mature and he should pick them then dunk and roll. Your pretty confusing man  and it's not a good idea to dunk and roll those big pins

I cant say they'll die but in my opinion I think they should be picked... ive had a cake rest for too long before a flush and it started to pin, they were no bigger than 1/4" and when I dunked for 24 hours every single one of them were turned black when I took them out, and I never mishandled it at all... but maybe the bigger mucks might be able to handle it a bit better

that's why I said eat them then dunk and roll. if he's not going to eat them and doesn't roll they may still grow. But my opinion is to eat them now and then roll. but they won't die from the dunk because they're too big.
