Awesome finds people. The spots I know of for cyans have started fruiting! Not much but soon I'm confident they will begin to explode.

All of you are killing it. So far two of the patches I know of are producing, but just VERY small pins.
Found this solo today, but didn't dig too hard.

Man someone found and totally raped my most hopeful cyan spot. Earth around it is all turned up and scattered, took every last pin... Whatever, thats bad mushroom karma. like whey even pick a pin? It literally weighs .01 dried if thats what you're after, and it has potential to weigh 1g+... Just a damn waste.

Portland ovoids are up! However, for every one ovoid there was a dozen galerinas. Not a good year to be starting out.

Or do not engage. If someone is already that dumb and careless you probably don't want to draw their attention.
Last year some random guy walked up to me in a public park when I was just scouting and started going on about cyans in a really loud voice. He then proceeded to pull out a big pipe while he was standing there and smoked with a lot of people watching.... all while he's going on about his cultivated patch in his back yard. How the fuck does he even know I'm safe to tell that to? What a putz. He also had no idea that there was a patch at our feet even after looking at them. I just walked away from him shaking my head.
That's not the kind of attention I want.

Pins are more potent by weight and so much sexier looking.
I keed, I keed, it's super annoying. All the more reason to start your own patches.

If people don't correct poor mushroom etiquette like that people will just keep on doing it. Some people are just not paranoid to the point of stupidity

A couple healthy, mature wild Cyans from one of the many spots I found along a small creek. I'm excited because there are a LOT of them and nobody frequents where they are growing at all. All of the spots are nicely tucked in the woods so there won't be any anxiety when I go to harvest. They seem to really like being within ten feet of the water at most, and they are only occuring within a quarter mile area along this creek. I also noticed they love growing under salmon berry bushes. Do their spores often travel by water?

You all have me so excited to be back in the PNW in two days, looks like a great start for a great season, I was worried because of how dry it had been. Keep up the good work everyone!
