Wide mouth lid Question

So I did a forum search, and couldn't find any info on this other than a single post which was never addressed.

I have wide mouth canning jars, but they measure (and advertise) 86mm in diameter, while all the SFDs and lids etc. you can buy via suppliers all list 90mm as the size they are designed to fit. Are these inner/outer diameter measurements or what? Will lids listing 90mm fit on these jars?

They are Bernardin 250ml mason jars, as such:

if you use the SFD whole, then you'll put it inside the lid ring, so I'd say
you'll be fine using those lids and rings. remember to drill a 1/4" hole in the
lid for GE. if the SFD is to big, you can always cut them up to size, or RTV
a nickel size circle over the 1/4" hole for GE
