Hi fellow shroomers! I have a syringe of P. Cubensis B+ that I plan on using to nocc up 10 1/2 pint jars. I just wanted to post all of my supplies I have to see if you guys think theres anything else that ill need to get the best results from my setup.
Altogether I have 2 tubberware boxes 1 for a SGFC and one fora still air glove box, verm, perlite, BRF, alcohol lamp, micropore tape, mister, thermometer and hygrometer, aquarium heater, bubblier with stone, spores and other miccelanious stuff like gloves alcohol lamp for fruiting etc. I think I got most of what I need just making sure there aren't any other vital supplies I might need. Thanks in advance and ill keep this post updated with my progress!

Nope! That sounds like everything. In fact, I'd return the hygrometer, the heater and bubbler. Especially the hygrometer, which I hate with a passion.

You can lose the heater and bubbler.

So just keeping them at room temp will be good enough and whats wrong with a hygrometer? Just out of curiosity.

Room temp is good yep. Hygrometers are rarely accurate and shouldn't be needed if your SGFC is built to specs.

And even if it isn't built to spec, it's best to fan on a regular schedule and mist if there isn't visible moisture on the cake when you open it up to fan. In the very best scenario, if the hygrometer is perfectly accurate (it isn't), it will tell you if you can see visible moisture on the cake.

Alrighty sounds good. Those were like the most expensive 3 items too so I may take them back and invest in a PC. One thing im not clear on is the micropore tape, you put it on all of the nocc holes while steaming/pc but when is the point that you remove it or do you remove it at all?

Most people actually put micropore over the holes after the inoculate. It's optional, but one of those cases where $1.50 buys you a lot of peace of mind, ya know?

The layer of dry verm you put on acts as the filter no need for tape foil tyvek etc leave the holes uncovered for proper gas exchange

Even during the PC process? I only ask because I saw during the letsgrowmushrroms video they put a strip of micropore tape over the holes before PC the jars.

Micropore tape won't reliably stop spores from getting in or out, but it'll stop air currents pretty well. In a PC this is a non-issue, but IIRC RogerRabbit liked to have the micropore on beforehand so he could peel it back, inject and then replace it really quickly. Whatever floats your boat.

Wait, sorry don't mean to thread jack. What's the point of RR putting tape over the inoculation points prior to sterilization? Surely he doesn't need the "peace of mind." I thought it was to help with moisture control? Or is that just the foil? Sorry just been holding off because I forgot a couple things..tape included :p

After I sterilize my jars can I transfer them into my still air box or do I need to leave them in the pot till they're completley cooled?

First signs of mycellium growth. Four jars are starting to grow just after a week. Nothing was showing for the first few days so I put a heating pad under my box and the next morning mycellium started showing so I guess my room may have been a bit too cold.

What's room temp roughly in your room? I would ditch the heater, usually if they're inside and you aren't freezing they're plenty warm
