Turtle beach warranty
    #20484697 - 08/27/14 03:30 PM (9 years, 6 months ago)

So my turtle beach X12 headset 2 year warranty from best buy is coming to an end it 10 days, and I need a new one because this one is just so worn out. I've been doing a lot of reading and found out many turtle beach customers are appalled at the few things the warranty actually covers. It doesn't cover physical damage, which includes wear and tear, water damage, acts of god or anything like that. It only covers if they built it faulty. Any way I don't wanna waste my 13$ warranty, say I were to "accidentally" dip my mic in water, therefore ruining the mics ability to pick up sound. Would they be able to tell that it was dipped in water? Or would they have to fix it, or send me a new one?

Also I should add I wanna do this because it's fucked up they make you pay a $13 warranty just to make sure they didnt build it faulty.

Yes they would be able to tell it was dipped in water and would deny your warranty claim.
That is completely standard warranty for any electronics component. They almost never cover water damage, physical damage, wear and tear, acts of god etc.
Unless you buy a 3rd party warranty through the seller or something.

And who made you pay a $13 warranty? That sounds like something Best Buy would do, not Turtle Beach.
