 FIRST GROW CHECK OUT MY PICS. NEED ADVICE!!

whats up shroomery i have pictures of a few of the grows im doing right now, its all pretty much my first grow so ive tried a couple of different things. the tray is rye spawned to coir/hpoo/gypsum it has been colonizing for 6days. how long till you think i can put it in fruiting conditions and what kind of fruiting chamber would you use?? the 1st 2 jars are brf jars with GE valve and self healing port an have been colonizing for a week the second 2 are brf verm and have been colonizing about 3 weeks and the cake was a brf bag that i was gonna fruit invitro but decided to dunk and roll. what do you guys think about how all these look??? any advice????

Wait until fully colonized in the jar and then wait another 5 days to take them out for fruiting.
For the cakes I would dunk in the fridge for 16 hours then remove and cover with sterile vermiculite. Place in a Tupper ware container that has 1/2 inch of wet perlite covered with 1/2 inch of dry perlite. Place directly on the perlite.. tinfoil isn't needed
I would also cover ( case ) the substrate in your tinfoil container with sterile vermiculite. Like a 1/2 inch layer.
Place them in 70-76 degrees and mist / fan 7 times a day. I have a setup with a real fan and I keep the humidity 95-100% and take good care.
Also if u case that substrate in the tinfoil it's ready to fruit now.

I suggest u give that tray a couple more days then fruit or u could case now if your gonna case, wait til u see myc poking thru in a couple days and then fruit. Misting 7x a day is excessive and will probably produce small, stunted mushrooms from being too wet. Good job tho, lookin good!! Oh also build a shotgun fruiting chamber and put it in there to fruit.

Cold shocking cubes does nothing but stall them, and cakes get dunked for 24 hours, not 16.

Casing cubes is entirely optional, and the verm does not have to be sterile, it could be pasteurized as well, or just moist for that matter...fully colonized substrates are contam resistant.
Once you cover the substrate with verm, it is no longer sterile....so you would have just wasted your time.

If it's ready to fruit, it's ready to fruit....casing is not required.....but his tray is not fully colonized yet, so it is not ready to fruit.

have you ever done a tray or monotub of comparable size? mine is 24x12x4. if so what kind of yield did you get. thanks for all your info i cant wait till these pin n take off so i can eat em straight off the sub lol

Hard to say. How many qts spawn and how many qts bulk went into it? At a ratio of 2 qts bulk to every qt of spawn I'd say an oz. for every qt of spawn used. So if u used 4 of spawn and 8 of bulk I'd say 4 oz. on your first flush and another 2 oz. on the second would be a good assumption.

is that a dry or a wet weight? i used 2 lbs rye mix and prob about 3-4lbs of hpoo/coir i didnt have a scale so i eyeballed it so prob about a 1:1.5 , 1:2 ratio

I would say expect 2 oz from the first flush then maybe one or two more over the next 2 flushes. Dry weight.
