 bok choy and fresh roasted tomatoes

my new favorite thing is greens.
been cooking a lot of chard, kale, collards
and the like lately.
a friend suggested bok choy.
but it made me think of bad chinese food.
I decided to be brave so I gave it a shot.
I've been grilling it on the barbeque and
on the griddle with a light coating of olive
oil and a little sprinkle of sugar to bring
out the sweetness.
really delicious al dente.
it's like a sweet-soft-yet-crunchy-celery-onion
sort of thing that goes great with pork chops.
slow roasted tomatoes are a nice complement
too.
roast halved, de-seeded tomatoes in a 250 degree
oven for 4 hours.
it's a good sunday dinner side.
the slow roasting brings out a very robust flavor
in the tomato...it's almost like a super sweet
sundried taste.

Looks good, roasted tomatoes are some good shit no doubt... and bok choi can be very good too. Problem is the damn things taste good but I'm hungry again in 45 minutes! Good good good. good, good - good. good!
