Wanting to start homebrewing
    #20388662 - 08/07/14 04:51 PM (9 years, 8 months ago)

I've recently gotten the bug to learn how to home-brew. I know very little about it.

Can someone point me to a good step by step tek? A good forum?

My basic understanding of the process is to make wort, strain it, ferment in a fermentation container, then bottle or keg. My understanding could easily be wrong though and I'm sure the Devil is in the details.

I think I want to ferment in a glass carboy and go all grain, I think. What little I've read seems to point in this direction.

I would like to start with something easy, I think like an IPA.

I'm not just trying to see how cheap I can be. I'm a hands on person, been cultivating mushrooms a while, and I appreciate the value of quality equipment and ingredients and doing it right. I think this is a hobby I can get into and want to start out right. I am not what you would call a "kit person".

Thanks for any help.

Tell me you have a thousand dollars to spend, and I would be willing to give you some equipment ideas.
