Battlefield 4's fun life span

I'm making this before I go to bed, so can't really participate much, but has anyone noticed that battlefield 4 got dull really quick? Bad company 2 for instance was amazing, I would prob still be playing the shit out of it if I still had my ps3, but there's just something.......missing in bf4. anyone care to have a crack at pinpointing it or have an opinion of their own?

Same here leveled up to 74, and haven't played more than a match since. I think it's just generally bad..

Uh, easy, playing the same old shit over and over is fucking boring
BF2, 3, 4... same fuckin shit. Same thing with CoD and every other shooter. It just gets boring after so long.
Find a new game.

There's nothing really out for the ps4 right now that's worth spending the little money I have I WOULD get watch dogs, but already watched a walkthrough for half the game don't have a good enough PC to play games, it can't even run shit like combat arms.

Also I didn't even play battlefield 3, it had been a few years since I played bad company 2 since my ps3 broke, so I'm leaning on it's just genuinely bad

I bought a ps4 to buy a 1080p tv to buy evil withen
I'm only at phase 1
I played CoD for an hour a day for a few years before I stopped playing all together, right when I got a Wii U and HD graphics finally

Have you considered that you might just be growing out of video games? I used to stay up all night playing all kinds of shooters, now I do maybe an hour sesh and then i'm over it... I don't really want to commit the time it takes to get good at these games any more, nor spend money on a machine that runs it right. I used to love the grind and felt satisfied after every kill, now it just seems to be a repetitive cycle of the same thing over and over- run run, shoot shoot, die, respawn; It's not fun, it's frustrating. It's not like they really changed the core gameplay mechanics between each version.
I'm still unable to figure out what was so special about BC2. It seemed like people actually worked together then.

Maybe FPS's, but not videogames altogether. I love really good story games, and sandbox games like gmod, but you're right, this shit might just be getting old

It's moments like this that I remember how fun it can be, I just shot my first pilot out of a helicopter ever with a SR, and I've had this game since launch

I still enjoy BF4 and I've owned it since launch. I noticed a lot of people still prefer 3, no clue why.
The new Dragon's Teeth add on is pissing me the fuck off though, it randomly starts to stutter and my frame rate basically drops to zero. I never had this problem playing BF4 or the other add ons.

You leveled up to 74 and just now think its generally bad? I've played almost a month in hours and am still only at lv 67. must not have been that bad
I don't think its as good as bf3, but don't think its generally bad

bf4 on the ps4, there's a beach map and if you destroy the hotel the game freezes, those 8 core cpu's are going to chug along for a couple years before they figure out what to do with them.

I'm telling you that specific hotel stutters the game to like 2 fps, it's a common thing on google too, it's CPU oriented, which is why microdick talks so much about cloud computing

Yeah, there are a lot of posts from earlier this year, but it's completely fine now, the hotel coming down doesn't affect my framerate at all.

I've actually been thinking about this a lot myself. FPS games are cool and all, but they get pretty old after a while with the same run, shoot, die, respawn cycle. Now I'm more into games that have a good, gripping story instead of the usual run & gun crap; though I have been getting into Arma 3 a lot as well since its more tactical and realistic with the whole milsim scenarios and whatever.
Lately I've just found games like TWD and TWAU and Valiant Hearts to be better because they actually make me care about what I'm doing in the game and what happens to the characters I'm controlling.

I've played around 100 hours. It's still fun occassionally, but I don't see how 100 hours is a short time for me to lose interest in a game. Most games don't give me half that play time.

This video pretty much explains exactly why bf4 sucked so much dick n bawls. Outside of the 10 tick rate & all of the rubberbanding that is

That video has a point.. but it's a dumb point. It amounts to whining that technology has advanced and that we're no longer stuck playing halflife. Maps are bigger and more complicated, so of course they're going to be harder to play. That doesn't mean the pinnacle of FPS maps is the 3 path corridor dust clone. Woohoo flat hallways where your options are left, right, and straight, lets all go back to wolfenstein.
I think a part of the problem is that people only know how to play that way- left, right, and straight. We're still getting used to the idea of open world gameplay.

Beat me to it. Almost shut the video off when he said Grand Bazaar was the best BF map.
Oh no, we have to worry about left right, up down, front and back!

I dont know guys... I agree on 360 or ps3 its terrible, seemed to look worse than bf3. However on Ps4 and im sure PC the game is INCREDIBLE I have a blast every game, no match ever goes the same way. I always have epic encounters and the record function on the new consoles makes it really fun to upload and show friends.
If your getting bored find some friends who you can mic with and work together it makes it %500 more enjoyable. If any of you are on the ps4 feel free to add me "applesmasher420" lets tear it up
