I didn't think of that. I may try this out soon. I have been wanting to make a GH but not too sure how and always caught up with other things anyways. Would be nice.

they aren't monsters but they look healthy and none of the smaller pins have aborted yet so I should get a decent third flush.

Beautiful.
That's a pretty good second flush.
But keeping in key with what I was talking about before, I feel somewhat obligated to say, I wouldn't be surprised if you got flushes that nice from cakes almost half as deep, as long as water were ample.
I seldom get "monsters" with that grow tech, usually except for clones of giants I originally took from bulk grows. I don't like them anyway, even from bulk substrates.
The impressive novelty wore of pretty quickly, and I was left with the realization that they're a lesser quality product.
Besides, not only is it better quality, but also I've almost always gotten higher yields from numerous fruits rather than some larger fruits.

The thing wasn't even opened, much less cased.
It was completely ignored, and when posted because it fruited anyway, it's stifled and forgotten results were used as fuel for ridicule both of grow methods that start with what Muda forgot about, and of people who have been majorly misunderstood and their knowledge and unique contributions spurned away by that ignorance, short-sightedness, and egotistical bandwagon fuckheads.
Now here we have a beautiful second flush from a container done out-of-tek-specs with who-knows-what aptitude of culture, and most certainly some nice flushing to come as well.

I'm not sure if it was on this thread but I posted a while ago about an enoki sawdust block that I froze solid then just forgot about for a few weeks. when I found it, it had a bunch of long skinny pins growing across its surface. I put it in my oyster GH and all the pins aborted but it has a few clusters of new pins forming. I'm going to put a couple of them on agar today.
On another note I harvested another jar today.
  
The fruits weren't quite as big as the ones from the first jar but the yield was higher.

yup a lot easier than the second flush on that flipped up cambo sub. That was a bitch to harvest.

how are you treating the jars between flushes?
its in a greenhouse so are you doing anything after the flush?

I have been filling them with water and letting them soak for a couple hours. Then I pet them sit under my tap with the water running for a little while before rinsing them off and putting them back it the GH.
