Fallout Players?

I just got Fallout 3 and New Vegas a while ago and I've been really into them. I had always heard that they were good but never bothered until now. I like both games however I think fallout 3 is of slightly higher quality. New Vegas seems like it was rushed a bit but its still great. Nothing beats dismembering characters with VATS.
Bethesda is hands down the best producers in my opinion. Anyone else play fallout?

I could never get into new vegas like I did fallout 3. I don't know what it was. I liked fallout 3 a whole lot more, it might've been because I played the hell out of F3 and it was my first fallout game... but yeah. FNV just felt like a complete clone and very rushed....

I just finished fallout 3 last night. Bought it from gamestop for $3 so it was worth it. I didn't really like it much. I was expecting oblivion/skyrim but with guns.
The stats are fairly meaningless. Load up on weapon skills and maybe repair the rest is useless. I think I used 5 different guns and 3 armor sets all game which was lame. No item in the game seemed unique or special and no way to customize anything. It's not a game I'd play over again.

Don't bother with new vegas then. It's a complete clone with a less interesting story line.
I agree with you, it didn't feel like any of the stats were VERY useful or anything.
Melee wasn't really even an option so far as I could tell. Bummer.

Yeah, and when it comes to graphics fallout 3 looks way better.

I actually switched to Fallout from skyrim and oblivion and I enjoy both series.

No. Is it even available for PS3? I thought it was PS4/XB1 only for consoles.
No way I'm gonna shell out 60 bucks for the game AND have to pay $15/month for the game. Fuck that.
Especially if they release it to consoles, no way am I gonna pay for XBL AND the sub.
I'm hoping its gonna F2p eventually lol

I agree, no way I'm paying that much money for elder scrolls online. I'm not even going to buy the new console, I'm still satisfied with my 360.

Same. There hasn't been one console game on the new ones that even made me WANT to buy the new consoles. To top the fact off the new consoles are literally the price of a computer almost (Like what - $500???)
It's unreasonable to even expect people to pay that. Fuck zenimax for pulling that gayshit.
I hope they make private servers for ESO, because I refuse to support a company trying to fuck me for every penny I'm worth.
Fallout online might be kinda fun if they ever made that, not sure how it would work exactly with VATS though

Yeah I'm not sure why they even came out with a new Xbox. I think that 360 is still great. And fallout online would be pretty cool, but of course VATS would not work.

Because the games were using the system to nearly its maxiimum potential and the consoles needed an upgrade? That's kind of how consoles normally work.

I think ESO is worth every penny I've spent. Fallout online would be awesome but I still couldn't get that into Fallout 3 the first time. I just like the turn based system better.

I do love those games! does anyone know if there is a mod manager for fallout 3 the same way that there is one for skyrim? it really does make it easier to work with them with an easy to use interface like that.

There should be.. I think it's called Fallout Mod Manager..
Really though, that's what it's called. Just download it and it should have a nice UI to activate whichever mods. It also work for New Vegas too, which is a nice feature.

Played both on console, enjoy both but LOVE Fo3.
Just bought Fo3 on pc so it'll be time for mods soon.

I don't doubt it is a good game. No game is good enough to warrant me to BUY the game for $60 bucks and then require a sub fee though. The F2P model works, if you give people the option to customize the character and give cool but non-game breaking ways of cash shop, people will do it and keep the game running just fine and give the company profit, especially for a game like ESO.
But ESO has a cash shop, sub fee, and requires you to buy the game. That is just as bad as EA when it comes to money grabbing and its sick. I get they are a business trying to make money, but there is a point that goes too far and they crossed it IMO and I know many others feel the same.
I'd be more than willing to spend $10-20 here and there to customize my guy, but to require me to pay monthly just to play a game I paid for and have no option to play it offline is just crazy

New Vegas was definitely rushed, and buggy as hell (like most Bethesda games)... but I dunno, I enjoyed it quite thoroughly. Even with all its flaws I consider it a really great game. I wouldn't call it an exact clone of Fallout 3... sure the mechanics/systems are very similar (but things are improved in NV - for example V.A.T.S is much better in New Vegas), the map is freaking HUGE and there's so many side quests and crazy shit you can spend quite a lot of time on it.
I like Fallout 3 probably a little bit better overall... just because of the overall "mood" and environments, (and I'm originally from the DC area and I loved to see it destroyed in the game ) but NV was a really solid game, even as buggy and as rushed as it was.
