Well, this thread is gonna bash consoles and praise PC in general of course. But I call it a draw for very different reasons.
But hats not even the topic. The topic is next gen games and them sucking. Truth is, some do, some don't. It's always been like that. Games have always had a sort of set formula that they followed. For example, when RE came out, it had alot of clones, FF7, Tomb Raider, Zelda, Metal Gear Solid. GTA. They all had lots of clones and there were always shit games. But was 1999 for example just better for the gaming experience? It's not hard to check that out for yourself. I think in some cases, old school stuff wins (I used to play FF7 incessantly when it first came out, also 8). For the FF series, I'd say it's true, the middle games (PSX FF) were my favorites. Same with RE and Silent Hll games. But it depends. What's better baldur's gate or kotr or dragon age? I like the first two more. Fallout 2 vs the new ones? Morrowind vs Skyrim? In all these cases I do like the predecessors more (Not so much daggerfall or arena) This isn't true for the GTA series as I feel it's only gotten better. The new TR is pretty good also.

System Shock 2 vs Bioshock?
I do miss the old PC Warcraft Starcraft Total Annihilation and AoE combat strategy sims
