This might turn into a grow log later..

I've planned on growing mushrooms for a while now, done some research,(mostly on shroomery) and I've got most of what I need. Moving out in a weeks time so maybe 2 weeks from 4/22 Ill update. I've found 3 teks, some might be more aptly called instructions as they aren't "teks" per say but seem to me to be quite useful info.
These are: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/5238137/fpart/1 - LC http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/2251265 - popcorn tek http://www.shroomery.org/10677/Monotub - monotub
So long story short I work in a factory and have a damn near unlimited supply of popcorn, as well as bags I plan on sealing for spawn bags. My plan is to do the links in order but LC innoc into spawn bags instead of jars. After my substrate reaches 80% Im going to break it up while its inside the bag and put it into a 5gal bucket to form it into a disc, and birth it directly into a monotub once it solidifies and reaches 100% for a few days.
Now my question is on spawn bags and literally any info would help here. Im somewhat confused as to the thickness of the plastic, I have access 1 mil and 2 mil bags of varying sizes, will this stand up to the heat of a PC? Do I seal my bags of popcorn (after soaking and PCing) and PC them, or do I do the micropore tape and then PC (Im thinking the bags would implode and tear or something without a "vent" provided by the tape to equalize pressure, also afraid the tape wouldn't stick with the steam inside the PC?)? I have access to tyvek and can easily obtain at no cost FYI.

There are a few things wrong here. I'll start with the first.
Agar is 1000* better than LC, find a good agar tek to replace the LC tek.

Sounds like a horrible idea. Break it up at 80%, but keep it in the bags until it's fully colonized.
I think you have some more research to do.

thats what I said :/ and I can cover more surface area with Lc rather than agar as long as I dont leave too much excess moisture.

The way you've written it makes its sound like you are taking it from sterile to non sterile at 80%. But im guessing you are not.
Not being funny mate but you should try to pick TEKs that are a little bit newer.
The popcorn tek is 10 years old.
The reason I suggest this is because this is a forum that is progressive and together we are trying to improve theories and techniques from yesterdays grows let alone 10 years ago.
It looks ok but there must be something newer and better out there.
Take a read of what this guy does, he's the god around here if you ask me.

That's also the tek I use to prepare my corn, it works fine. Corn is pretty hard to mess up, as long as you let it dry up enough.

I've got no cable or internet, chainmaille was my last hobby I got into, Im gonna try something different. a cost effective hobby that i can burnnsome time on is a thing I enjoy

Im gonna try to go from jars to monotub, as I have an extra room. set up a tent for a SAB. fruiting directly on popcorn. I can supply everything for nothing. Im aware its not the ideal way, however for $0 Ill have a few babies. I have an excess 0f spawn bags if anyone is willing to trade for a spore print.

Do you mean go from trays to monotubs?
Also are you not going to mix the popcorn with a substrate ie coir or hpoo? Cause if u have horses near by you can get that for free too.
In my opinion, Cased grain is better than straight grain and bulk is better than cased grain. What I mean by this is that I have gotten much bigger fruits and yields from each respective method.

yeah, trays to tubs, my bad. Yeah id love to do some hpoo and coir or mix up a substrate, but as of right now im just gonna do straight grain, I might case with verm in my monotub. honestly im pretty pumped. ill be damn ecstatic even if i only get like 2 fruits lol. and when i do decide to do all the little things thatll make fruit like mad i can look back at my straight grain monotub and how far I've come. maybe a write up of how stuff turned out, yknow with a bunch of pretty pictures and such

mix ur grain with moist verm, then case it. the moist verm will add water for better yield.
