No, they're not what you want. They're a Cortinarius species. You should make your own thread for ID requests though.

Tried posting a few days ago, posted in the wrong thread, deleted my post, reposted, dont know where the hell i posted it but someone's gonna kick up a stink when they find it in their thread lol.
Anyhow, fresh marbled finds from one of our (me and another forum user) own created patch. Got sick of travelling to the Blue Mountains or travelling across Sydney in a hit or miss hunt, ive had my glory days finding new patches and stumbling on new spots, now i just want to go there, pick them and eat them. Nothing beats a ten min walk to your spot

Hey guys, its been a while but its study break and the season is well and truly kicking!!
Went for a big hunt yesterday, hit some major success at a few spots. The money spots seem to be the areas with the ground cover, like ivy etc. Or any spot that holds the moisture that we have recieved, my more open patches are still yet to send up a pin.
Get out there guys, had to look hard but when I did it paid of big time.
Anyway, time for some pics!
I just thought this was cool :P, accidently spun the camera in my hands while it snapped a photo, I thought it looked like a drop in a pond haha.

dr sub, the subs you have in the 'bonus porn' shots. the ones to the right.. with the black spots in the middle of the cap.. are they still good, or do you cut the black out?
just wondering at what point are they no good?

Nah man they are all fine, most of it is spore deposits, they have to be pretty far gone before I will say no.

Simple_simo, how did you and your mate create that patch?
Awesome finds Dr. Sub!
If you have a small patch, will spraying it with a spore solution result in a bigger fruit?

Need some encouragement guys. This is my second season hunting. I didn't find anything last season, admittedly I only looked in August when there wasn't much rainfall, tried today to no avail as I thought with the rain over the last week would've made my chances better. Found plenty of life in my local park area, but non of the goodies. Going to try tomorrow somewhere around the outskirts of Sydney. I'll let you know how i go.

Yeah it is nuts. We planned a whole day out hunting in two separate national parks. We decided to meet early in the morning at spot X. My mates were running late so I decided to check a few locations in the car park where we were meeting and BOOM!! there they were. Actually didn't see any in both national parks with a full day of hiking. Goes to show when it is time for you to find them you will find them (or do they find you?!) hmmm

Is it normal to still be finding cubes this time of year on the central coast?
