Absolutely. keep you eyes open.
but keep in mind Psilocybe Semilanceata are saprotrophic on decaying grass, and love growing through unkempt grassy areas. they have long fibrous stems to help hold them above the grass, not within it. and the pixie caps are unmistakable once you see them.

I had a good look in the Oberon area the other day but I couldn't find any actives (besides an abundance of amanita muscaria) so I think you have the right idea with waiting for some decent rain. I want to drive to the Blue Mountains as well, although I've never been looking for them there so I'm not sure how successful I'll be even if the conditions are perfect haha. There is some location info on erowid.org which I might just have to follow since I don't personally know anybody interested in this sort of thing besides me unfortunately. (I've done plenty of research regarding species and ideal conditions over the last couple of years, have been lurking here regularly too, but it will be my first time properly looking.)

So I went for a hunt today in the Blue Mountains. Was a beautiful day and I got pretty lucky! Found a nice looking patch. Plenty of pins and a few more mature ones. I left the pins, hopefully it gets some rain and matures. ALl in all, I probably only picked ~1/6th of the total mushrooms there. Very excited to find such a promising patch!
This was probably the biggest of the hunt:
All told, ~180g:
Also found some cool looking A. Muscaria (I think?)
Looks like the season is just starting!
