Zappa, been meaning to ask you this. You seem like a hardcore right winger. Cool, but what has the right done that you feel so attached to? Democrats have created tens of millions more jobs, only party to reduce the budget deficit twice since Eisenhower and have spent less tax payer money doing it.
We could debate the current administrations spending all day, but just remember he's cut spending faster than any POTUS since WW2 and his new spending is barely there. Freedom? Patriot act, and other big govt programs tell me otherwise. Let me guess, Obamacare?

Were you aware that infrastructure projects create jobs?

Like bike paths in KC? Did you know that smashing windows creates jobs? This is not the purview of the federal government and by removing money from the creative private sector they destroy jobs.

Were you aware that government jobs are paid for by the private sector who would have liked to create jobs but only more efficient ones for the economy?

People can't go to work and product can't be moved around without roads for trucks . Commerce needs roads and infrastructure to happen , and you can't really get infrastructure built efficiently and affordably without the power of eminent domain. What kinda jobs are you talking about exactly ?

Any job that would be in the natural market. Eminent domain? What the fuck are you babbling about?
Let me point out that infrastructure isn't a pimple on the ass of government spending. If you want to see the elephant look to entitlements and/or welfare.

It IS during a recession. Especially one where big business is sitting on their horde.
SOMEONE has to inject money into the system to get it going.

While breaking windows creates jobs, it also sucks money out of the economy and at the end of the day there's no net benefit to society. However, building roads also creates jobs, but in addition to that, you also get the net benefit of having the roads which weren't there before, which can by used by everyone including businesses to help them become more profitable. You end up with a net gain.

The private sector is generally hired by the Government to do its infrastructure projects like building airports, railway stations, etc. So relax.

You mean there's no US Government Construction Co.? It would be the PRIVATE sector that would benefit? People would get paid to build roads, bridges...and then pay more taxes and have disposable income and buy fun things like fucking rich people do now?
No wonder the right is against it.
I know the Tire Lobby is against it, they'll lose sales.

The private sector would not benefit because grotesque sums would be extracted from it to overpay and fail to supervise the construction due to idiotic regulation and bureaucratic waste that accompanies every single government project. See Obamacare website fiascoes.
