hi! here's how they look this morning... i had 3 very small ones open and break their veils. one of those dropped some spores on the cake and perlite. things seemed to have slowed down some. i've been misting and fanning faithfully. their room is 78*- 80* and though the sgfc humidity is 98ish the humidity in the room is low. kind blessings

hi I think my first flush may be over soon. I have been getting fewer and smaller fruits the last couple days.. So for my second flush after I dunk my cakes should I dump out my bed of perlite and start fresh? maybe rinse and reuse? growing these has been fun. looking forward to taking it to the next level. thanks for looking! kind blessings

thanks for reading & your reply.. and for me this is pretty cool too. I'm constantly peeking in on my babies and talking to them encouraging them to grow up big and strong for papa.. I used Kerr widemouth half pint jars which are 250ml my FC is 23 5/8" x 16 3/8" x 13 1/4" or 60cm x 41.6cm x 33.7cm I'm using an old aquarium light fixture with 2 40watt bulbs for my light source on a timer 12 on 12 off. so looking forward.. kind blessings

hi these babies can open pretty fast.. going from a closed veil to open and spreading spores in a few hours it seems. do you folks like to pick yours before this happens? does it matter? kind blessings

hi thank you for visiting and your kind words.. hopefully I'm doing something right. it amazes me how fast these beauties grow I turn around and their skirts/veils are dropping. usually I'm waiting months for my other crops to come in.. (ya ever watch cauliflower grow? slow) beer takes awhile too. after these next cakes I want to get into tubs.. time to do some research.. kind blessings

hi the cakes may be winding down.. they seem to be producing fewer & smaller fruits. (which is ok I'm learning right?) getting ready to do another round of cakes and then hopefully graduate into tubs.. I have a big bag of rye berries or would you suggest WBS first for a rookie? my first experience with the fruit of my first labor was VERY enjoyable.. kinda walking around with a perma grin on. thanks for reading and your comments.. kind blessings

hi! so it's been a couple of days with fewer and smaller fruits and I'm guessing it's time to dunk for a second flush.. I haven't had any of the bigger, sexier fruits lately and this morning I removed a handful of these small aborts? do you folks bother with all of them? kinda reminds me of all the lower small popcorn fluffy type of buds on a pot plant. yeah they work and they make great hash or butter but do ya bother? kind blessings
